Not having my PSP in front of me and not knowing what model you have, or what kind of computer or OS you are trying to do this with, I believe there may be an option to format the memory card from the PSP itself. I believe there has to be an option somewhere on the PSP to do this. My reasoning is that if you put in a brand new memory card, it needs to be prepared for use in the PSP. In other words, the PSP installs files on the memory card so it *knows* how to communicate with it. Basically, it installs a file system on it, much like your computer does when setting up the OS.
--OR--
Pull out the memory card and plug it into a card reader that is hooked to a computer. Then, as it shows up on the *My Computer* screen, right click on the memory card and select format. Be sure you have the right card selected for formatting, or you could hose your computer.

How to install a memory card from a digital camera and put it in my dell computer.

Purchase a USB memory card reader. Insert the memory card into the card reader and connect it into the computer's USB port. The computer will see this as an external storage device, you can then open the folders on the memory card and copy the photos to your Dell computer.

Low memory disk

If you have low memory disk, try to check your cpacity. To do this, click Start > then right click Computer then click Properties. You will check your RAM if it is 512MB, 1GB or 2GB. Then click Start then click My Computer. Then right click Local Disc C then click Properties. You will check the total memory space available. If the free space is very little already, try to remove unnecessary programs such as games... Restrart the pc and check if your space is still low...

Do all compaq presario cq60 have a memory slot?

It has a memory card slot (left-side towards the front), but your particular memory card might be too big for the slot. There are several different variations of memory cards out now. Of course the newer the variation, the smaller that card is. This laptop is fairly new so it might not be compatible with your memory card. Does your camera have a USB cable for transferring pictures? If so, then just use that.

How to eject RS-MMC card from card reader slot in acer 4736 ?

Usually there is a spring latch: press the card deeper into the PC, and it will click out.

If it doesn't, the spring may not have engaged, or may be broken. To extract a stubborn memory card, it usually has two grooves on the top and bottom to allow extraction by hand using your fingernails. Some cards don't have the grooves though, and for those you can use a pair of tweezers, or use two strong sewing needles as "prybars" from the left and right side of the card simultaneously.

If it still doesn't work, something went really really wrong with the latch and you'd best send it to assistance. As an extreme resort ONLY, wet the short side of an unfolded paper clip with Loctite glue, and taking the utmost care not to touch ANYTHING but the short side of the memory card, stick it to the memory card's short side. The traction made available by half an inch of Loctite on a steel paper clip should be enough to tear the memory card apart, let alone extract it. But if you need that much force, chances are that you'll end up destroying the reader: that's why I suggest going to the assistance if things come to that.

My old, cheap Dell will not come on, screen is black

The memory it is referring to is RAM, not hard drive space. You may have a bad memory module; one easy way to tell is, if your computer comes up at all, right click My Computer and select properties, it should display on this screen how much memory the computer thinks it has. You may need to get some new RAM.

My acer aspire 5600 warned that I am running out of memory. My "D" drive says there is 30g of free space. How do I use it?

I think the computer actually said you were running low on Virtual Memory ... memory is the physical ram installed in your machine ... virtual memory is an area of hard drive the computer uses to store data when in runs out of "real" memory .....hard drive space is nothing to do with memory.

Ok, that got that cleared up :-) .... now the quickest way to get over low virtual memory problems is to install more RAM. For XP you should really have a minimum of 512mb .... 1gb is probably optimum. For Vista you should really have a minimum of 2gb.

So if your laptop has less than 512mb(xp) or 2gb(vista), the first thing to do would be to upgrade the memory.

Virtual memory problems should only ever crop up when you are running multiple applications .... so just try and keep the amount of programs you have running to a minimum. Instead of just minimizing programs, try to close them down to save memory.

Can I get more memory?

it is unlikly that you can put more most systems can only handle one extra card. if you need extra space then get a bigger size card and put it in this way:

turn it off
flip it over
get a screwdriver
unscrew the hatch with a computer chip symbol on it
and press the two side tabs, and the card will flip up
gently pull it out by shifting it side to side
then insert a new card at the same angle the other one was after you clicked it open
and push it in

i do not know what memory you had saved on it but i assume you will lose some

best of luck
