download this.

unzip then put it in to a folder under C:\
then connect the phone through USB, press “NO” when it asks.
Then there will be a new hardware installation wizard. Select “Install from a list of specific location(Advanced)” option (Second option).
In the next screen select “Include this location in the search”. Browse the path where you have stored the extracted file.
wait for the copying of files to finish, Now your W230/W270 is ready.
After installing the software when you plugin the phone, select “NO” if you want to charge the phone. If you want to transfer files press “Yes”

Please install the software of your mobile phone on PC then you can easily surf the menu, where you can take backup as well as save your contact list.

Hello, I just confirmed with Motorola customer care, sicne I also faced the same problem. It seems the Moto W270 does NOT have a modem (hardware) hence one CANNOT access internet on the PC via the data cable, internet access is possible only on the handset and not on the PC

the usb port needs to be service then the phone needs to be unlocked and flash so take the phone to a mobile service center and have them fix it for you.
