If there is no regulator there, outlet pressure to the hose should equal tank pressure. Many of these units have a built in pressure regulator tha steps down pressure. They usually have a clearly marked dial with a + / - or similar.

If yours has no regulator, you'll need to check for an obstruction (clog).

I have a porter cable double stack 150psi air compressor that will run then shut off when it is suppose to but no pressure on the regulator guage and no air will come out the hose when you hook up to

Make sure the regulator is working and set to the desired pressure. There should be a knob and guage showing the pressure. It may also be a bad compressor.

I have a porter cable c5101 when i switch on motor runs but the pressure guage does not go up i have a pressure of about 30psi and no more when i switch off there is air escaping from by the switch area.

you have a check valve problem
this valve stop air to go from tank to pump
air flow by switch because of unloader valve,it try to unload air in the pump head

Porter cable the compressor regulator is always at 0, the tank is at 150psi but no air at the outlets

Always at zero, like the regulator is broken?

I would assume that you never set it to whatever
pressure you want to use

I don't know what that adjustment knob is supposed to do or what the two dials mean.

The knob adjusts the outlet air pressure. One gauge shows tank pressure and the other is your outlet pressure. The pressure is changed by turning the knob (generally counter-clockwise to reduce pressure) Pressure requirements differ depending on the tools you are running. Most air tools will list a Maximum Operating Pressure on them or in the manual.

I have the 2002 comprssor , the outlet pressure gauge does not register when the tank is filling or full, tank will not operate.

It is possible that your air pressure guage is faulty and needs a replacement. Make sure the air control regulator tap is working fine or else replace the tap if cleaning wont help.
Bothe the tap and the air pressure guage are available easily and could be replaced by you.Use the correct wrench and use teflon tape to the screw thread, do not over tighten.I hope you try.Good day

Air won't come out of tank

does the guage show that it is building pressure? if not then the compressor is not working and its not pressurinsing the tank, if it is storing pressure and the compressor is working check the valve on the connector and that its depressing and releasing the air.

Extra fitting on my Porter Cable?

CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU HAVE. IF ITS ON THE REGULATOR - THE REGULATOR USUALLY HAS AN INLET, OUTLET, GAUGE PORT AND A PLUG IN THE OTHER SIDE IN CASE YOU NEED TO MOVE THE GAUGE. SOME MANUFACTURERS PUT SAFETY VALVES IN THIS PLUG PORT. IF THIS DOESNT FIX IT GIVE A LITTLE MORE DETAIL. IS THERE ANYTHING WRITTEN ON IT. HOPE THIS HELPS, JODY

My porter cable compressor isn't shutting off

Dear JG,
The probably is probably the pressure regulator switch. It's the box the 110 vac wires come from the outlet and go into. Reset the switch or replace it. Note! overfilling an air pressure tank is extremely Dangerous. The tank, fittings, compressor head and or related parts may explode resulting in property damage as well as serious and potentially fatal personal injury.
Good luck,
