The timer box is located in the compressor compartment to connect the timer to the electrical components which
defrost the battery evaporator (defrosting heater, thermal switches).
I think there is a timer that controls defrost and there are heating strips....so it is one or the other....my old frig had the heating strips behind the panel on the inside at the rear....timer was behind kick plate
There is an adaptive defrost board and setting that allows the unit to defrost at certain intervals. Each brand is different and runs on different times. Do you have a concern or issue with your unit frosting up?
