I have a JVC sub woofer SP-pwm 505 can I use this with any system my receiver has RCA jacks it looks like this uses a S cable...is there a cable that would convert "S" cable from sub woofer to an RCA output jack in receiver email@example.com

You will not need to y connect your subwoofer, if you have only one RCA sub out on your receiver the other end of the RCA connector cable goes into the left input on most powered subs, there is no loss of signal, the option exist as some receiver do sport a double RCA sub out.

You probably turned on the amp at full tilt and that is the safety for you speaker check out an tv shop and see if they can get the info or order you a new board .You can order the schematics from a tv or electronic appliance place if you give them the info and do it yourself. Go to the store or website and check out what color of resistors they have or just order the board direct from Polk or an authorized dealer.
