Question about Heating & Cooling

Open Question

My Swim Pro ABG 100 will not start. I turn it on and nothing happens, the fan doesn't even start. It worked fine at the end of last summer. I turn on the pool filter, and then attempt to turn on the heater but nothing. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

SOURCE: Electric Heater Coils Always On

We use the STW0925H! in 60 rooms on this property and have encountered similar problems that were caused by weldedd contacts on one of two relays that controls the electric strip heat. They can be replaced if needed.

PTHP's and PTACs employ thermal fuses as well as a bimetal limit stat on the heating element to limit risk if fan motor were to fail and the heating element were to remain energized. It would be wise to check that both are fuctioning properly while you are servicing the unit.

SOURCE: Fan won't come on, either when heater or air-conditioner is turned on.

you have lost all control voltage. that is generated in the furnace. either the transformer has failed or the fuse in the transformer board has blown or the circuit breaker to the furnace has tripped or you have an open circuit to the furnace in the high voltage wiring. grab a volt meter and start with checking high volts at the furnace and back to the panel. if you have volts then start checking to see if transformer is generating low volts. as a side, if this is a furnace be sure the door is on secure and the door safty switch is depressed or guess what! no fan no volts no nothing. if any lights on board are flashing etc then you have power and it becomes a control problem. be sure your low voltage is getting sent to the stat via red and common on the furnace terminal board. good luck

SOURCE: Pump works fine, but is very loud

Its probably not a high quality pump, bearings starting to wear is likely the sound you hear.

2006 Kia Rio will not turn over

the timing belt will not have anything to do with the motor turning over trying to start. First make sure u do have a very strong battery. Could be a bad connection or a broken wire to starter also.

Doesn't load the disk

Someone needs to open it to SEE what is happening--if the unit holds more than one disc (model seems to indicate that) you likely have a mechanism problem with something jammed or even broken--mechanism could also be out of alignment which is a task for a pro.

Look and see what is happening is first thing needed here.

The blower doesn't blow when I turn the air or heat on but the blower in the back works fine the knob from higg to low is stuck in the middle and I can't get it to move

Have you tested the front blower motor with a test lead hooked to 12 volts? Use a length of lamp cord and make up a jumper to test the blower, replace as necessary. Also inspect the connector to the blower for signs of melting or burning, replace as necessary.

Please try this steps below:

  • Try to reset it first so that it will restore to its factory settings.
  • Then if still the same try to download the firmware if there is an update available for your GPS.
  • And also try to remove the SD card then insert it again to your GPS.

Have you checked the settings? There's one in there for auto-shutoff. I had this happen and it turned out I had accidentally changed this setting.

We have a John Deere peg perego gator that was working fine last summer and this summer will not even start at all. The battery is charged. Any suggestions?

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in
