Question about Computers & Internet
Try installing the Google Chrome web browser and installing one of the many free games they have available in their Web Store (https://chrome.google.com/webstore?category=app%2F3-games&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=ha-en-na-us-webapp-categories-games&utm_medium=ha). These do require an active internet connection, though.
Alternatively, you can visit Cnet's Download.com (http://download.cnet.com/windows/games/3150-2012_4-0.html?filter=licenseName%3DFree&filterName=&tag=narrow) for a list of free, downloadable games that are guaranteed to be virus and spyware free!
If what you are missing is the stock games (such as minesweeper and solitair) that are generally included with Windows, then you can do the following (granted you have administrative rights to the machine)...
For Windows Vista or Windows 7: 1) Click the start menu and start typing: "Programs and Features" in the search box. It should show up underneath a heading labled "Control Panel." 2) Click on the link on the left side bar that reads "Turn Windows features on or off."
3) Make sure the check box next to "Games" is checked. If it is not, click on it to select all of the games on the list, or click on the check boxes next to the individual games you want.
4) You should get a dialog box asking you to wait. Once it disappears your games should be installed.
For Windows XP: 1) Click on Start, then Control Panel, then find "Add/Remove Programs." 2) In Add/Remove Programs, click the tab that says "Windows Setup." 3) Double click on the accessories icon. 4) Check the games icon. 5) Click Okay. 6) Click Apply.
