Question about AT&T HFAI 10 Phone (3161-161)
Likely there is a problem with one of the wires connected to the jack in the building. Try yet another phone in that jack. If it experiences the same problem you need to check the wiring. Likely you will find a problem at either the splices someplace or the jack itself. When people work around the wiring, often they knock a wire loose. with these electronic phones, they sometimes work marginally suffering low ring volumess, noise or other failures.
