Hello ccashin65
First , remember that a cd has a max storage capacity of 750 MB and that you may need several cd's to stock all your data . If your system is running under Windows 7 , you can use a DVD , a single sided one ( the most common sise ) has about a 4,5 GB storage capacity ( 4500 MB ) . But let's say you need to use cd's .
Insert the cd in your coputer's drive . Go to the documents you need to transfer and give one click on them so they will be highlighted .
Now , presuming you are running Windows XP : look in the left panel of the window and click on " copy to cd " and wait for the wizard to guide you further on .
If you are under Windows 7 : you first need to have the menu bar shown above the window . Look on the left side of the tool bar above , click on " organize " select " layout " and check " menu bar " . The menu bar appears now above the tool bar . Select your files , click on " edit " in the menu bar and chose " copy to folder " . Select now the drive hosting your cd and click on it , clik " copy " and Windows will do the job . You can use a dvd , it's exactly the same operation .
Note : Windows XP will not accept dvd's , only cd's .
Good luck !
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

NOW OPC error my Tascam CD-RW750 Only using a cd-rw

All I can think of is to try other makes of blank discs. Also, if your machine ever comes up 'ERROR' and you have no control of any functions including powering it off or on-remove the plug from the wall and wait about a minute, then plug it back in.

I have this cd-r by memorex that already has downloaded songs but i want to erase them and put new ones ...please explain how to do this...

You cant.

A CD-R (Compact Disc-Recordable) is a variation of the Compact Disc invented by Philips and Sony. CD-R is a Write Once Read Many (WORM) optical medium, though the whole disk does not have to be entirely written in the same session.
CD-R retains a high level of compatibility with standard CD readers, unlike CD-RW - which can be re-written, but is not capable of playing on many readers, and also uses more expensive media..

If you want to be able to use the disc many times, you need to buy CD-RW discs

Purchased a 10 pack of dvd-rw discs, 2 work and 8 dont what to do

You won't get any satisfaction contacting memorex. Before you take them back to the store, go online and check for a firmware upgrade for your dvd/cd drive. It's also possible that your burner has a dirty lens. If you can't upgrade your firmware/driver and the lens is clean, I'd bring the pack back to the store.

Help with copying cds keeps saying that I have wrong format

the machine (pc or cd burner) that you are using is looking for a specific type (either cd-r / cd+r)
look on the front of the pc or cd burner to find what type it uses.
cd + r, cd + rw, cd - r, cd - rw or cd-rom. (+/-) r are for one time burning, (+/-) rw is for rewriting over and over and the rom is for games (playstation).......the + (plus) or - (minus) is very important.

feel free to rate if this is helpful

Sony Precision Drive 3 DVD+RW

If you are using RW media, that could very likely be the source of the problem. Here are detailed instructions on how to determine or confirm the source of the problem.

After completing these steps, if it is caused by the DVD+RW media, re-record them on regular DVDs, and assuming your player will accept that media, they should play appropriately. Let me know if you need additional assistance, but thanks for rating FixYa!
