Hello Sir,

You can create a Partition in your hard drive without affecting your OS. Just follow the process I've sent.

1.) Go to Start Menu and Type in search area Create and Format Hard Disk Partition.

2.)Open the Create and Format Hard Disk Partition.

3.)Now you can Select the C: and can Partition it with another new drive.

Thank You

My son changed os and was a bad coppie how do i get back my old xp os

This is an easy resolve. You probably will have to reformat your drive (not hard to do.... go to YouTube and type in reformat or format drive and you will find a number of video tutorials are available. Listen to a few of them... take notes... and it should be easy then).

Now, assuming that you owned the OS and that in this case it was a Microsoft OS; 2003, XP, Vista, or 7 (any of theirs), then you can contact them and they will help you for a one time charge (was $35 last time I used this) to resolve. They will send you a new disk (if you have the old one and it was purchased by you). If you don't have the disk and got the computer with the OS as OEM (installed new from manufacturer) then you still can get a replacement from MS (Note: The OS license will be on the side of your PC on the Microsoft decal and that decal has your OEM license number).

The manufacturer may send you a replacement install if you contact them and have a little bit of luck with the draw on the technician that helps you. Tell him or her that this was early on when your son did this and they may be sympathetic with that.,

Another solution: If all fails for you then there is Bit Torrent where you can get almost any OS that exists (for free... along with serial number for install). Always make sure that you keep a copy of your OS and then it is very easy to format the drive and install or you can overwrite the existing for repairs (doesn't always work).

By far the easiest way is to go through Microsoft on the phone (you'll be talking with someone in India but they are determined to resolve any issue you have and provide great service).

I did this myself with an upgrade to Vista Ultimate (It was the Ultimate disaster and was much better off with the Vista Home Premium) and it took some time to resolve even calling Microsoft.

Want to install operating system on wiped out hard drive

You need a bootable copy of the OS (Some are only repair copies) and a copy of the Motherboard Driver disk

Switch on the machine hit F2 or whatever key it tells you to hit to get into Bios

Go to Boot , change 1st Boot to CD, save and exit

Restart the machine with the OS disk in and follow the instructions including the bit about formatting the drive again

Whan it is all done load up the Motherboard disk and update that

My TomTom one 3rd edition crashes everytime i try to put in an address or select home. It does pick up my location at any one time and satelites no problem just wont take an address why?

Sounds like the os is corrupted. Make a backup on your computer. IMPORTANT DO NOT USE TT HOME FOR THE BACKUP. To do this, on your desktop right click and make a new folder. Then go to my computer and open the tt drive. Copy everything on the drive and paste it into the new folder. This step will take a few minutes. Next format the tt drive (this will erase everything on the drive). Turn off your tt and then disconnect it from the computer. Connect it again to your computer and let tt home reinstall your os. This may take a couple of times to get the latest os back on your tt. After tt home has installed the latest os for your device go to the new folder where you made your backup. Copy the maps and bmp's back to the root of your tt (don't open the drive to do this just paste it onto the drive letter).
Hope this helps

You need to find a copy of xp that is not through an OEM (original Equipment Manufacture). Your original copy of xp was linked to the motherboard's BIOS it was purchased with. It is called tattoing; the link below describes the process. Also, make check the bios to see if it has the correct serial number in it. The company you brought the computer from can transfer the serial number to the new motherboard and you could use the old xp copy you have as well.

Problem with installing new windows OS on toshiba A105

You should put the drive back in the external caddy, delete the format, partition the drive for NTFS. format the drive and set as active.

Repair OS

There would be an option to select
"repair" instead of complete installation
once you boot from the XP CD
Choosing repair will not format your
Hard Drive or OS

Go 730 stopped working immediately after installing TomTom Home

I have found a solution to this problem by quick-formatting the device and reinstalling the TT Home this time declining the update to a higher version (just in case).

For the faint-hearted, like myself, in the absence of a working backup I recommend copying BEFOREHAND all files from TT Go to an empty folder in your computer (using Windows not TT Home). This way if you do not succeed at least you can go back to the position before the format.
