Reboot the laptop. While rebooting keep pressing F8. This should get you into the menu then choose "repair my computer". If you want you can restore it to factory as if the laptop was new again. Back up files you want to keep before you do this as the only thing that will be left is the operating system.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

No sound system

Check in the Device Manager to make sure none of the audio sound drivers have a problem.

Check and make sure you have the volume turned up and not muted. There are keys on the keyboard that will turn the volume up or down and will also mute the sound.

If you have the megaphone at the bottom right by the time, double click on it and make sure the volume is turned up and not muted.

Click Start/Control Panel and check the Audio Sound properties

Click Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment and check the Audio Sound Properties.
