    my email address is

I have the installation book which came with the deck but it doesn't make sense if I'm trying to retain the factory sub and system (which is pretty good).

The Schosche harness wires are all correct except 4 main wires in lean into vacant slots.

I look forwards to your information and will let you know how it goes. I appreciate this.

    Thank you.

Hi, got it thanks. I have the same manual.

All connections are ok except outputs to the amp - can/bus, remote on, speaker outputs to the amp. Can you help me with this, maintaining the factory amp?

It is very difficult to describe its installation procedure here by this window. I've both the user and installtion manual of your device with me, and it is an Adobe Acrobat document. I can't send it to you by this site. If you are interested, send your email address to me by FixYa, and I'll send it to you by return mail. Its installation manual section describes all connections and its details. OK.

When replacing your factory radio with an after-market car stereo, the Scosche CR03SR wire harness is a must for a quick and clean installation. It eliminates cutting your OE radio plug. After connecting it, your install is simple as the wires will color-match and easily connect to the after-market stereo. Without the Scosche CR03SR, you would have to cut the OE radio plug and manually test each wire to connect to your after-market receiver.
In addition, because you do not have to cut your OE radio plug off, the CR03SR allows you to reinstall your factory receiver if necessary. A great example is if you sold your car, but wanted to keep your after-market radio and re-install your factory stereo receiver. We also recommend the Scosche BOBAZT for a quick connection that is sure to last.
    Product features
    · Harness is used when installing an aftermarket stereo
    · Connects the aftermarket stereo harness to the vehicles factory harness
    · Designed specifically to fit the compatible vehicles
    · Plugs into the factory harness without cutting any wires
    · Standard color coded wires provide a consistent and simplified installation
    · Made from OEM quality materials
    · Compatible with Select 2005-up Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep Specialty Harness Interface Plug for CAN Bus Vehicles

You will need to connect the pioneer unit to a switched ignition wire from the ignition switch. The 2006 GM factory radio only has a constant B+ (orange wire) and ground (black wire). The factory radio turns on when the Body Control Module (BCM) sends the radio a turn-on signal (on a data communication line) when the key is turned on. Your pioneer unit won't talk to the truck's BCM, and will need you to wire a switched B+ feed to it that turns on in the ignition accessory and run positions.

I have a Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD system and the radio sounds lousy any suggestions

You're going to have to go into the menu and change the setup. It could still be set on the factory setting and that means that all speakers are set to flat.

I have a avh-4900dvd that I was trying to install in my 04 silverado and it will not power up at all I know the fuse is good in the vehicle because the factory radio works fine and I only connected the Red...

there should be a yellow wire that is used for 12 volt power. the red is usually just switched power. I hope you are using a harness from metra or scosche for this install as cutting into a factory harness is not a good idea

I want a great sound system in my van. what do you advice and how much will it cost?

go pioneer, best bang for your buck. you'll prolly wanna buy a headunit, 4 componant speakers, one 10in sub, one 4 channel 500watt amp, sub box, and wiring. pricing depends on how high end you go i recommend:

Headunit: Pioneer, price depends on model, a nice one=120-150, you'll prolly need a dash kit so it'll fit your van, wal-mart like 15$, and also a wiring harness to plug into your factory wires, again wal-mart like 7$

Speakers: depends on the van, buy speakers that are the same size as your factory so changing them'll be easy. Buy pioneer, that'll handle about 60-70 watts RMS. you'll prolly pay about 120 for a pair.

Sub:Pioneer ts-w257d4 60$

Amp: Alpine mrp-f550 210$

Sub Box: Scosche, available at wal-mart, 30$

Wiring Kit: Schosche, Also at wal-mart, 30-35$

Pricing on sub, amp, headunit, and speakers comes from, another good website is So a grand total for materials is gonna be 775-850 after shipping on online bought stuff.( has free shipping on orders over 100$)
If you pay for installation then you're prolly lookin another 150-250 bucks. it ain't cheap but your system will sound KICK ***!!!

you need a factory radio relocation harness that leaves the factory radio hooked into the system as it is part of the computer memory system. i have a 04 grand prix gt2 & i bought a pioneer dvd/ipod system, and i noticed mine wasnt working either. i got my harness from scosche and it was around $53 bucks. GM06B...thats the part number! hope i helped you out!

Can't fit subwoofer amp leads to pioneer DEH-2000MP Head unit

pioneer head units only distribute like 200 rms or so to the speakers. you might have to find a blue maybe even blue with white striped wire and nick it just enough to tie your amp wire around it. tape it up and see if it works.
