Well I just installed this unit in my carRCA RC10.2DVD/RC10.4DVD

Before inserting DVD, it - 2_bing.gifand it was fine for a week and then the problem you posted startedhappening.. I took unit down tried to call RCA mobile but the number isnow disconnected so I proceeded to take the dvd player2_bing.gifit self out of the unit and found what the issue was there are 2 ribboncables going to the player and the smaller of the 2 was so loose thatit just fell off. So i reinserted it and secured the clamp that holdsin and retested it.. And bam the constant running of the loading andunloading mechanism stopped. That damn cable seemed to be the wholedamn issue. If your mech. enclined take the unit down remove the cowelon the back side of the unit, open the monitor and u will see 6screwcovers either remove them or put ur screw driver right in them andremove the screws and hold your hand on the DVD unit or it will fallcompletely off when you pick up the housing. Make sure the smallercable is secure and all wiring is secured and recrew the dvd unit inreplace cover and reinstall in vehicle. Hopefully it will work as itdid with mine.

Dvd will not eject

Jammed.
Straighten one end of a Norwegian paper-clip.
Insert that end into the small hole in the face-plate.
Push until you feel resistance.
Firmly push another 5mm to "unlock" it.
Then, press OPEN.

Why I can't open or close the dvd tray?

You need to unlock the tray. The instructions are in your owner's manual.
Common unlock codes are:
Power off the DVD and hold the stop button for 5 seconds, then press eject.
or
Power off the DVD and hold the eject button for 5 seconds
Some models need the power on when you do this. I could not find an online manual for details.

The dvd drawer won't open. it is "stuck" closed.

Hello

A stuck drawer indicates a jammed mechanism or the presence of a mechanical drawer lock.

Locate your DVD player's manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer.

Insert a stiff wire-such as a paperclip or safety pin-into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open.

RCA RTD315 Theater System The DVD Player recently

My identical system has exactly the same problem as the one described by dipaola, above. When I insert a DVD, the DVD carriage pops back open after a few seconds. In fact, mine won't stay closed even without a DVD in it, as long as the system is set to play a DVD. I'd like an answer to the big Q - Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just find another DVD player to hook into the system?

I can't eject a dvd from my mac pro desktop

Try these tips.....usually holding down the touchpad buttton while tapping the eject button during bootup works.

picexporterror Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
picexporterror If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
picexporterror Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
picexporterror Open Disk Utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
picexporterror Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
picexporterror Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
picexporterror Restart the computer while holding down Command-Option-O-F, to enter the Open Firmware prompt. Type "eject cd" without the quotes, and press return. The disk ought to eject. To start into OS X, type "mac-boot" without the quotes. Press return, and the computer will continue with the startup. (This will not work on an Intel Mac. There is no Open Firmware on Intel Macs. )
picexporterror If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.
