Question about Hitachi P50H401 50 in. Plasma HDTV
Well if the sound went out it may have only effected 1 output source, What type source are you using, HDMI, RCA, Composite, DVI, VGA with mini adapter? If for example the HDMI, port you are using has simply lost sound to that port, HDMI carries both sound and video so simply moving to HDMI 2 or even 3 may solve this issue. Also i would suspect the cable you are using, HDMI cables are often defective. If you are using coax thru your cable company i would also change that coax from your tv to the hd box.
