Question about Garden

1 Answer

FPOS1300 Pump is sitting in about 1.5 inches of water in my basement. I have 50ft of 5/8" dia garden hose hooked up. It runs up the stairs and out the door and down hill from the house a bit. so total riser head is about 8 or 9 ft max. It wouldn't pump. I checked air lock hole free, and tried again...nothing. I siphon sucked from the end of the hose and got a trickle to run for about 3 minutes then stopped. What now?

My heat only blows cold air

ok i have found a number of newer cars and trucks seam to have this problem and if the engine is running at the normal temp and if you move the temp leaver from hot to cold and you can hear the leaver move then your looking at a plugged heater core, if you have any kind of mechanical ability this is not to bad to fix. You will have to run the engine and at the fire wall you will see 2, 1" dia rubber hoses that go to the heater core get the engine up to temp and you will need to touch both hoses one at a time to see if one is hot and other is cold mark the cold one because that is the out side and thats the one you will need to push water or a low amount of air into. you will need to remove to hoses and push water or air into them then once this is done get some CLR and pour into the side that was hot and let sit for a bit ( reason is some of the new antifreeze out there crystallizes and plugs the heater core) now after sitting for a bit wash out with water eg garden hose or a small water bottle and push into the hose pushing out the junk then hook back up hoses and run engine and top up antifreeze. i have done this to over 20 vehicles in the past 3 months.

Water well cleanig

everybody living in the country with a water well, should and can clean their well with peroxide. A safe fashion is to use sodium percarbonate.Depending on the product and strenght, use apprx 4 litres of sodium percarbonate in well, run a garden hose back to well, then make water run for apprx 8 hours at 1/4 flow.Open all fawcets in the home , one at a time for a period of 5 minutes to alllow the well water contact your piping, thus cleaning these.Leave to sit overnight, with garden hoe removed.Reconnect hose in the morning, flush for an hour or so or until you run out of water. Do not let your pump run dry for any extended period of time otherwise you will burn the pump. You know the sodium percarbonate is gone when the water is free and clear of foggy looking airated water

Not pumping enough water

Sounds like you have an air leak in the pump inlet. If it has worked in the past the pump is designed to lift the 12 Psi required. The other problem might be a plugged inlet line. When you remove it look at the actual pump inlet for some blockage.

Ac drip line

At the point of drip there should be a small tube . not very long and about 1/2 inch in dia. attach a garden hose to it and lay the hose out keeping a downward slope all the way to where you want it to run. Failing that use electrical conduit (plastic) and various bends to get the water to where you want it to go

With this model is there a way to attach a hose to it so that I can leave it running continuously while the hose is draining into drainage hole in my basement? m7dh65b2a

Yes, there is a way to do it. As a matter of fact, your model (now discontinued) came with a short section of hose. However, you can still use a short 5' section of garden hose and achieve the same results. To find the hose connection (if you don't have your Owners Manual) remove the bucket and you should see what looks like a hose connection (which it is) behind where the bucket sits in the unit. If it is not there, inspect the back of the humidifier for a small 2"x 2" pop-out compartment door. Inside of that is the hose connection. Remember, dehumidifiers do not have pumps to pump the water out, they rely on gravity for water to flow through and out of the hose.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks

I am stumped. I have a rather large water garden in my back yard, approx 20 x 20 and around 2 1/2ft deep. The pump pushes the water up a slight incline approx 30 yds long to the filter, and the water...

It sounds very much like a deep slow leak from your garden or in the stream bed. The pump is probably sinking do to its overall weight and vibration when it is running. I would recommend probing the area and look for pooling or mud. If it is a subduction leak it can eventually threaten structures in the area.

sounds like it has a blockage may check inlet also

If the outlet of the discharge hose/pipe is

submerged you must have a 1/8" hole in the discharge
hose/pipe to prevent airlock. This hole must be open to air.

Help! Water keeps filling the tank instead of going out the hose

Had the same problem. Make sure you tighten the house a little with pliers. Also, make sure the dehumidifier is up a lot higher than where you're draining it into. Mine drains into a utility sink. But I have the dehumidifier propped up onto a dresser. I cut a small piece of hose to run into the sink. Seems to be working now.

It will take 5 min or so to establish a water flow, so be patient after you hook everything up. Good luck.
