Question about Hayward SAND FILTER, PRO SERIES
Loosen the top screws holding the valve together and pull the handle out. The gasket is either attached to the portion you removed (if it is it will be a whitish-yellow color and it is permanently attached to the diffuser) or it will be in a groove down in the body of the valve (and it will be black). Take the top assembly and/or gasket to a local pool store. They'll have the part(s) and may even install it for you. If they do not install it they can direct you in how to do it. If this is an above ground pool you will need to close off any valves or block the skimmer and return somehow while you repair the filter.
