This is the manual for your thermostat. You would want to pick what you want,; heat, cool, etc., and run. You want to be on auto and coll, heat, which ever you prefer.

Trying to hook up Honeywell RTH6350 thermostat. When turned on cool out air blows out. We only have a green, red, yellow and white wire from the old unit. Are we missing some wires? we have a heat pump.

Your Thermostat should wire as Red to Rc/Rh (if Rc/Rh are not connected you need to put a jumper between them; White to W; Green to G; and Yellow to Y on your thermostat. These will be the only wire connections that you need to connect from the unit to the thermostat. However, if your thermostat is not battery operated and is programmable then you will have to run on wire form the transformer in the units C to the Bl on your thermostat.

Thank you for choosing FIxYa.com

My honeywell heater thermostat is only blowing cold air, there is no heat blowing regardless of setting. how can i fix it? it won't even turn off.

the wiring for thermostats are color coded. R(red)power, Y(yellow)cooling, G(green)common, W(white)heating. O(orange), E(emergency)heat. Make sure that you have the right thermostat because there is an air condition thermostat and there is a heatpump thermostat and they wire up differently.

I just purchased a honewell RTH 221 thermostat. I

Typically the four thermostat wires are:

R = power (or common)
G= FAN
W = Heat
Y = Cool

Assuming that you have a normal electric or gas furnace and air conditioning, if the heat really is coming on, then just switch the position of the the Yellow and White wires.

Replacing a Williamson (White Rogers) Termostat

rh is power for cooling terminal and rh is power for heating terminal connect red wire to rc or rh and there should be a jumper between rc and rh if not install one all other wires are color coded correctly. now the blue wire is not used.

Don't quite understand the first post.
W is white or heat
Y yellow is cool (or B for blue) either will do
R is red or 24v
RC is the same as R, unless you have separate transformers for heat and cool, place a jumper from the 2 R's
Your old wires, though are 1 white and 1 black, usually this indicates line voltage. 120v or a milli-volt @.750v. Either case, you have the wrong type of thermostat for this application.
