Replacing Light bulb in Pfaff 1471 cd

The light bulb in my machine has burned out. tried to unscrew/pull it out not knowing if it was push in or screw type. The bulb itself came out with two fine wires sticking out and left the metal base in the socket. Being up inside the machine, it is hard to get ahold of and see to know if it needs to be pulled or unscrewed. How on earth do I get the metal base out to replace the bulb without damaging the socket?

I have the side cover off but can not unscrew the bulb. Is the bulb a screw in type. I don't want to break it off while it is in the machine. I can see a small spring attached to the black part that holds the lower part of the bulb. Do I do something with it?

Unplug the machine and check to make sure that the contacts for the batteries are clean and that the batteries are installed with the correct positive and negative orientation. Plug the machine back on and test.

SOURCE: How to replace light bulb at Pfaff Creative 2124?

On these machines you cannot open the left side to remove the bulb. Your machine accessory kit should have come with a rubber tool that is ribbed with a cup-shaped opening on either end. This is a tool for removing the bulb. Tilt the machine with the base facing up so you can see where the bulb is and use this tool to twist the bulb gently. It sould come out with no problem! Hope this helps!

How do you change the light bulb on a pfaff 7550

If you look down on your machine from the top you will see a small whole with a screw in it (you may need to lift the handle).
The screw is a flatblade/philps/20 torks.
Losen the screw about 2 full turns (do not take it out).
pull off the panel on the left and you should be able to see the light blulb.
Turn the light bulb about 90 degee and it should droop out.
Replace with only a 120v 15w bulb.

Hope his helps

Can the light bulb on the Pfaff 7570 be changed without the bulb changer tool?

Yes. First turn off the machine. You need to get out the cover (cap) with the stitches number in it. Move the bobbin winder to the position to full a bobbin. Unscrew the screw near the bobbin winder. Next unscrew the screw near the thread reel holder. Pull up the handle to carry the machine and now put up this cover. Unscrew the biggest screw at the left hand, just unscrew a little. I'ts a little more down. Then pull up the cap at the left hand (the cap that have the thread trimmer). Now change the bulb and put all the caps to the right position. I hope that you understand me, my first language is spanish.

Undo the screw in the stop motion wheel, then unscrew the stop motiuon wheel, turn the 3 pronged washer intoi a different position, put the stop motion back and the stop motion screw and test, if that does not work move the washer again.

Need to locate a lamp changer for the Pfaff 7570

You my be able to change the light bulb without one. On some versions of the Pfaff 7570, you can remove the left end of the machine to access the bulb socket: remove the top cover that has all the designs pictured on it. Lift the carrying handle. Immediately behind the handle is a hole about 3mm in diameter. Down in that hole, probably too far down to see, there is a phillips head screw. Drop a Phillips head screwdriver into the hole, set it into the screw head and unscrew that screw. This will loosen the left end cap. Pull toward the left to remove this piece and you can access the bulb and socket.

With power off, needle out, no presser foot, remove top cover off of the machine. Left side cover (light area) has 2 flathead screws deep inside the cover. No need to remove the screws, just loosen the up and the cover can be removed by pulling it out. Now you'll see the light bulb, remove the bulb. On the bulb holder there is 1 screw that secures it, remove the holder. Now actuate the lifter lever, you'll see where it is attached to. It has a small screw that holds it, it might have come off.
