I just bought my monitor 2 months ago and now its white not matter if the computer is off or not, how do I fix this??

I have a monitor that has a white screen also and it doesn't matter if the computer is off or not or if anything is hooked up to it. I am not sure what the answer is. I seen a resistor burnt out on mine but tried to replace it and still got nothing. I have a HP HSTND-2A05.or an F1905.

If you turn off the computer you should be turning off the monitor as well.. is the monitor still white when your monitor is set off? if not, then its normal.

I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!! PROVIEW 19" MONITER.

Does the led on front of the monitor stay blue or does it become amber ?
If it becomes amber, then you are not getting a signal.
No harm in trying this : You can try to see if it is a contact problem.
With the monitor unplugged.
Use a small paper clip to run in and out of the blue vga plug holes a few times each to make sure they are not plugged or gummed up.
If that doesn't help and you know that your video cord is good, then I am afraid to say that more than likely there is a problem with yor video card.

If it stays blue then the signal is there but the screen isn't fully lighting up, leading to a failing power-inverter board or a bad bulb.

No signal input

Check the coolant between the CPU and the cooler to ensure it's not simply over heated.
