I'm sorry that the Camera is not recording and playback images with breakup. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation.

  • Please make sure that you're using fully charged battery pack.
  • Please remove the battery/battery pack press and hold the power button for more than 5 seconds and then check the operation.
  • Initialize the Camera as suggested by the manual of the Camera.
  • Remove the Memory Stick and try capturing images in Internal Memory and check the operation.
  • Try with a different Memory Card if one available.

If the issue persists, service may be required. You can find your nearest repair center from the below link:
http://www.fixya.com/repair
Note: Please get back to me with the exact model # and make of the Camera so that I can provide specific instructions to initialize the Camera.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.

The power indicator flashes and the one flame mark flashes in the display if condensation error occurs in the Camcorder. The camcorder may not detect the condensation immediately — the condensation warning may not start flashing for 10 to 15 minutes.

    What you should do
    • Remove the cassette, leave the cassette compartment open, and turn the
    camcorder off.
    • Leave it in a dry place until the condensation evaporates. After the condensation
warning stops flashing, wait at least another hour before trying to use the
    camcorder.

Please check whether the playback issue persists with different tapes. It may be an issue with the previous recording issue itself if it only happens with one tape. If the issue persists with all tapes, please try recording new videos and check whether those videos are playing normally.

Something serious could be going on, but first clean your battery terminals, both on the batteries and inside the device- use a qtip and alcohol, or a pencil eraser. Next check and measure the battery to make sure it's fully charged.
If this doesn't fix the problem, take it into a Camera Repair shop and get an estimate, since it can be costly.
Not having the make and model number limits the degree I can help. If you add it to this post, we may be able to better assist you with this problem.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

No image on LCD screen

It sounds like you're receiving partial information on the LCD screen and that the image sensor isn't sending information to the screen.

If you know the sensor is working by recording some video on an SD card and being able to view the recorded video on your PC, then there is a disconnect between the LCD and the image sensor.

If you are not recording video to your SD card and only get black images or no files, the image sensor is damaged.

If you are recording video, but no image appears on your LCD for internal viewing/playback, you can try a firmware update if one is available from www.insigniaproducts.com, but this is a discontinued item so there's not much available for support.

Hope this helps!

Cannon PowerShot A80. Pictures come out with red tint and what appears to be horizontal lines across complete image. However, record video without problem.

If camera shows previously taken pictures in playback mode and does notshow live view to take fresh pictures then it is ccd imager chipfailure. CCD imager will be replaced in your Canon A80 camera.
Canon offers free of cost ccd imager replacement, click Canon CCD Imager Advisory for details.

Different sound to picture

When connecting VCR to TV. Verify all connections. First if the connection is with coaxial cable make sure you signal from outside is screwed to the cable input on VCR. Then the VCR/TV output has the cable running to TV input. If hooking up with RCA cables , which is the yellow, red, and white cables. Hook one side up to VCR output. Yellow for Video, while red/white to audio output matching the colors. The same is done to the Television input. yellow for video, red/white for audio. Do a test recording. Use a blank tape, not one already recorded on. Record about 5 minutes Stop recording , rewind and playback. You should see the difference.

Choppy recording and playback

If the heads become dirty, “NEED HEAD
CLEANING” appears during recording. During
playback, moreover, the following symptoms
appear.
≥Mosaic-like noise appears partially or the
sound is interrupted.
≥Black or blue mosaic-like horizontal stripes
appear.

When normal playback cannot be performed
even after the head cleaning
One possible cause is that normal recording
could not be performed because the heads were
dirty at the time of recording. Clean the heads,
and perform recording and playback again. If
normal playback can be performed, the heads are
clean. Before an important recording, be sure to
conduct a test recording to make sure that normal
recording can be performed.
≥If the heads become dirty soon after cleaning,
the problem may be the tape. If so, try another
cassette.
≥During playback, the picture or sound may be
interrupted momentarily, but this is not a
malfunction of the Camcorder. (One possible
cause is that the playback is interrupted by dirt
or dust that momentarily adheres to the heads.)

It must be the internal battery problem. Change the button cell that is located near the charging input jack.
