0xFFD12566.exe is a computer virus. You need to full scan all your drives, including your flash memory, using an anti-virus. If you don't have an anti-virus I recommend avira anti virus which you can download for free on this link:

The file system has become corrupt and unreadable, or at least a section of it. If you can't reformat it then it's likely dying or dead. At least you should be able to recover some of your data however...

The Dorkbot.A worm changed my files into TMP files, ESET NOD32 cleaned the virus. How do I restore the TMP files to my files and folders?

The hard drive was corrupted but the worm virus. Worms will eat data and can change the data to what it wants (to destroy anything). If you can not do an open with to open your data with the correct program.

You have to transfer the data to something else first. Move the files to another device then format the devices.

You can use both effective free malware & Spyware programs, like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & SUPERAntiSpyware, download install & update the database to the latest and scan your PC & any external USB drives.

Use a Free System utility tool eg. CCleaner to cleanup any "craps" from your PC too.

When i plug in my WD, all files are shown as shortcuts and when trying to open a file, it says 'windows cannot find G:\RECYCLER\0xFFD12566.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try...

Simple test to find out if the files are still there: boot from a Linux Live -Cd like
connect the WD to the pc then open it in there. If the files are in there you will be able to recover (copy or move them) to another location. If they are not - you still have just shortcuts - then something has been done to them, either by a virus or by someone else. Whatever it is the files are gone, try to find them in the trash - RECYCLER is the name with which the Trash Can is represented as a real folder in every partition, If the files are not there then your only hope is to use a recovery software like
on the WD and see what you can recover.

Message 'Windows cannot find L:\RECYCLER\0xFFD12566.exe'.. when ever I try to open a folder.

You have the Recycler.exe virus.
A free antivirus can be found here: Alternatively, you can just do a Google search for free antivirus if you would prefer.

Hello, In my 2GB SD card, automatic folders are created. and cannot open any folder. FAT error or driver not found messages are shown when open the folder. what to do to remove this problem?

Most likely, that SD card of yours has been infected with some kind of a computer virus. Best recommendation is to format it. If there are files in it, copy just the images, docs, and spreadsheets. Do not copy all .exe, .com, .bat, .dll or any programs if there's any. Then, format it.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

My flash drive 16 gb sandisk cruzer u3. when i insert in Laptop it opens but file not showing. showing run launchu3.exe. how can i get launchu3.exe? i checked prpperties all file inside but not...

I have the very same flash drive.
The file you refer to "launck3.exe" is a file compression utility from Sandisk. It works well but I don't use it. I placed the drive into a USB slot and chose "open folder" in the options not "auto run". I then mad a new folder called "old cruzer" and moved all of the files in the root of the flash drive, to it. Leaving an nice empty drive to copy and paste to.
I hope that helps.

Can't get Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX.exe to download.

Flash player 9 is actually not the latest version. If you want to install the latest version which is version 10, follow the steps below:

a. Download the most recent Flash Player uninstaller to your desktop from the TechNote below. Please read the instructions in the TechNote before running the uninstaller.
How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control
b. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer windows, other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger or other messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player is still in memory.
c. Open the following folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
d. Run Flash Player uninstaller.
e. Check if there are files left in the folder: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. If there are any files left inside the folder, delete the files.
