If you download a application called ANGRYIP it allows you to ping your entire network to locate all the devices on it, it may be the address has changed.

Also please be aware that you sometime have to ensure you are typing the http first, and issues with different browsers.

Hope this helps, please provide ratings if helped, if of no help, please feel free to ask more questions and provide additional details of what you have tried.

Regards

Andy

I want to conect my iphone to my router but i dont have the password

If you are not administration the router than you have to ask your network admin for the password. Else open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the add bar and hit enter. System will ask you to type in the user name and password to access the web interface. So username and password are "admin" by default. Once you have entered the username and the password, you will see the web interface. Select "Wireless" option and then selece "Wireless Security" and then you will see the password.

Connecting our laptop

In order to retrieve the wireless network key you have to log on to the web interface of your router. Depending on the router it can be anything from 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.1.254.

Your can find this IP address in another way, but you need a computer that is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable (in case wireless administration is disabled.)
Once a connection is established, open a command prompt (Go to start -> Run), type "cmd" and hit "Enter".
In the following command window type "ipconfig" and hit "Enter" again. The value after "Default Gateway" is the IP address of your router.
Type that into your browser. Don't type www.etc., simply (in my case) "http://192.168.1.1".

This leads you to the web interface and depending on your router, you will find your wireless settings somewhere. From there you can access and reset your wireless network key or copy it.

If you have any more questions or get stuck at one point, just come back here and leave a comment (with more details about your router) - I'm happy to help.

I BROKE MY INSTALL CD AND WOULD LIKE TO GET MY ROUDER WORKING

You should be able to access the router by using your web browser and typing 192.168.1.1 into the address bar at the top of the browser, then hitting enter (could also be 192.168.2.1). You will have a popup window that asks you for your username and password, username is either admin or administrator (if its still set to default settings) password will also be admin or administrator (again if left on default settings). Once you enter the username and password, you should be able to access the router directly to get it set up. Hope this helps!

Install software.

In reality you do not need to install the software anyway. You can use the default IP address to configure the router as long as you are able to pick up the wireless signal or as long as you are hard wired to the router.
Click start ->run type cmd hit enter, In the DOS box (black box) that opens type ipconfig, hit enter. Look for the line that says default gateway..you should see and ip address of 192.168.xxx.xxx. That is the default address of your wireless router. Enter that into your web browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) This will allow you to access your wireless routers settings.
You will probably need the user name and password. This should be listed in your manual.
