Question about NorStar T7316E Corded Phone
You get around the problem by unpluging the phone and taking it back to wherever you got it, or going out and buying a CICS, MICS, or BCM cabinet to plug the phone into.
A Multi-line digital phone doesn't operate on a POTS telephone line.

Testimonial: "sigh... thanks for that.."
Would this phone work if plugged into a PSTN to Ethernet converter which is connected to a virtual PBX?

You cannot use this phone on a land line. it is a digital phone which requires a KSU (Key Service Unit) in order to function. your land line is analog and can only be used for single line phones or fax.
