Hi I have problem with my skype,when I want sign in,than skype show me that is stopped working.That windows will notify me a solution is available.Where can be the problem?On skype or on my computer?I made a new antivirus too,can be this the problem?

Hi, please remove the Skype from the Firewall program list in the Anti-virus application or in the Windows Firewall. This should resolve the issue.

when u sign in in skype ur name will be remained in the window of skype for signing in, so u can check there, or when u signed in to skype go to skype-->profile -->
all info will be there.

I couldnt sign in its shows I/O error how can i solve the problem


To resolve this problem, please make sure that you are using the latest version of Skype.
However, if the same error happens again, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Skype. If you can see the Skype icon in the taskbar (at the bottom right of your screen), right-click it and select Quit. If you cannot see the Skype icon, use Task Manager to close Skype: press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click Start Task Manager. In the Applications tab, select Skype and click End Task.
  2. Make sure that you can see hidden files.
    On Windows XP:
    1. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options.
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Under Hidden files and folders, tick Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
    On Windows Vista / Windows 7:
    1. Click Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Folder Options.
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Under Advanced settings, tick Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
  3. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder:
    On Windows XP:
    • C:\Documents and Settings\\ApplicationData\Skype
    WindowsVista / Windows 7:
    • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Skype
    Where is your Windows user name.
  4. Locate the folder with the same name as your Skype Name and delete it.
    This will delete your chat history. To save your chat history, copy all the .dbb files and the 'chatsync' folder to another location. You will be able to transfer them back (described in step 6, below). Please note that we cannot guarantee your entire chat history will be restored.
  5. Restart Skype and sign in with your Skype Name and password. If you forget your password, these instructions tell you what to do.
  6. The folder you have deleted will be recreated. If you saved your chat history files (described in step 4, above) transfer them back into the folder with the same name as your Skype name.

Cant log into Skype... takes the log in and 30sec in crashes due to windows issues. I use Windows 7

Please try installing an older version of skype like 4.2.

Skype has stopped working a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

first run antivirus to chek viruses(with updated antivirus software like Karspersky,Mcafee,etc...),then uninstall skype and go to programfiles delete skype folder,then restart the system and again install skype.

Well i have linux on my computer and my logitech camera wont work on skype or anything nothing will pop up to show me what to do when i plug in the cord to my computer is there any solution??????????????


Hello dear Linux user:

Unlike Windows, Linux will not pop a window notifying about a new USB device, unless it's some kind of file storage.
You could check whether or not you USB WEB camera was recognized by your system by opening a terminal window and type: lsusb and press enter. If you device is listed, it's a good sign.
The next step is to configuring your Skype Client. While logged in Skype, open Audio Options Settings and select pulseaudio for incoming and outgoing. After saving your options, open Video Options and select your USB Camera as your video device from the scroll down menu.
I am not sure what Linux Distribution you have. However, Logitech Cameras are usialy working without any problems on Ubuntu 10 or higher.

may be its your os problem ....just uninstall the skype then upgrade your window ..now install skype . your problem will be solved....okay friend
