There is a hole by the temp controls just behind, Insert a flathead screw driver and turn clock wise until it clicks. It will start back up on it's own when its done.

Fridgefreezer running but not cooling/freezing

This can be caused by a defective defrost timer. As to whether this is your issue I would need to plug one in, there is no way to really test them except by symptoms, such as the one you have.

Fridge freezer

Defrost timers usually cause this type of frost build up. However it can also be caused by the defrost heater and/or heater thermostat, and these items are behind the panels therefore not easy to get to. Also before you attempt to take the panels apart make sure the refrigerator is unplugged.

HOTPOINT FRIDGEFREEZER

Sounds like frosting up. Defrost completely...that can take 2 days. Restart. Also, clean the condenser. Check door gaskets, clean and replace as necessary. Don't keep door open longer than necessary.
