Toshiba satellite m105 s3041 sound only works through headphones

Go to your "Start" menu at the bottom, left of your computer's desktop. Select "Control Panel" from the menus. Select "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the Control Panel.

Look at the settings under the "Volume" tab. Make sure the slider is not turned down. If it is all the way to the left, you need to move it more to the right. Make sure the "Mute" button is not checked.

  • Go to the "Audio" tab. There you will see "Audio Playback" with a drop-down box. Make sure it is set to your computer's sound card. For example, if your computer uses Sigma Tel Audio, make sure that is the name in the drop-down box. If it isn't, then change it to read your sound card's name. If you still do not hear sound, your speakers may be damaged.
  • 7 Test your speakers on another computer before you decide if they are broken. The input jack on your computer might be the problem.

    desktop or laptop computer ?

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to

    reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the

(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the selected correct speaker settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it

if his does not fix the problem

click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker

volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any

further volume control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volume icon system select adjust volume

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers

from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system

speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check

the speaker plug/outlets is usually at the back of the computer or if its a laptop on the side

you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make

sure the connection is good with no dust as dust causes static electricity

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is

no MOISTURE in the air line or use a can of compressed air specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit

dust causes static to build up in a computer

if its a desktop swap the speakers around if one still does not work its either a faulty speaker or the speaker connection

    hope this helps

Can't get sound out of my speakers although sound registers as playing

Check that your computer isn't muted and the volume on the speakers is up. Check that the plug for the speakers is connected correctly. Check to see if the sound card that the speakers are plugged into is set as the default in the control panel. Is there any sound coming out of the front port (earphones). Try another set of speakers.

My multimedia speaker doesn't work. has no sound. could it be the wiring harness?

First Check that your speakers are powered on. On your desktop go onto your bottom task bar to the right far end and open the arrow which shows you a speaker sign. click on the speaker sign it will open up and show you the audio device that is in your computer. Check that all volumes and speakers are on, check that the speakers and controls are not muted. If everything is okay here then go to the next step.

Then go to your computer desktop and check on 'My Computer' right click on your mouse go to 'properties' the 'systems properties' dialog box opens up then you go to 'hardware' panel and click on it then press on 'Device manager' button. You will see a whole list of the devices in your computer. go to Sound, video and game controllers click on the + sign to open it if it's not already open. Check on the speaker signs you should some drivers and devices something like Realtek High Def audio. if there is a question mark on any of the devices then it means that the device drivers are not loaded. Look for the drivers and load them.

Just got speakers no sound computer says no auto device is hook up

You need to install the drivers for the AUDIO device.... not your speakers. Go to control panel... Device Manager and look at the list of devices that is your computer. There should be a multimedia device that you'll need to update the driver for. You can do have it find the device automatically online. If the automated way doesn't work, you'll need to know exactly what sound card/device that you have.

I have a set of logitech X-530 speaker for my computer with windows home 7, i have had the front left and front right speaker working properly, however now i cannot get any sound from any of the...

Try to disconnect the input connector of your speaker and touch the input jack of the unit if you hear a hazing sound it means your speakers are working properly but if you don't hear any sound your speakers are bad. Open the speaker unit and check the amplifier section of your unit. If you don't see any burned electronic component inside. Check the wiring of your unit.
To check if the audio of your computer is working. Plug in the input a headset if you hear a sound while you playing a music in your computer it means the audio of your computer is working good.
