Can I make a suggestion - -
Have a look on Ebay for somebody selling this item.
You will likely find an email address . .
Most people would probably be prepared to scan a copy in and email it over to you at no cost.

I know I would be happy too.

No manual

This is a very general question, but the answer may help many others to find manuals (even those that are not toys) OR even parts.

Many toy manufacturers have web sites and, if a manual or instruction sheet or parts are available, you can usually find it there. Remember, many toys do not come with instruction sheets. But most other items do come with manuals. The problem, as you know if you are reading this, is finding them.

To find the site, usually you can type in the name of the company itself and that is sufficient. Some toys have the web site printed on the toy itself. Otherwise use your favorite search engine, type the name of the toy followed by "manufactured by".

Once at the site:

i) try typing in the product name in their search bar, if no instructions are found, next step;

ii) search "manuals", and if not found, then next step;

iii) check the bottom of the page for "manuals" or "instruction sheets" (or parts, if that is what you are looking for). If not there, check for "site map", "customer support" and/or "recalls" and then further check within each category for manuals/instruction sheets.

iv) search the model number, if there is one it will be imprinted on the product; IF YOU STILL CANNOT FIND THE MANUAL

v) CALL THE COMPANY, most of the name brands will help you, especially if the toy is not a discount toy that appears to be made to last only a short time. In many cases, you have no choice but to call the company. For example, Coby Electronics makes a dvd player for the car, but if you need a part, you must call the company. They will tell you the price of the part (most are inexpensive) and ask you to send a written request, but, again, they have no online order procedure (as of now, Feb 2011). But if you don't try to call the company, then you are doing yourself a disservice and may be disgarding an item as being unable to be fixed. Remember, calling the company is the way it was done before the internet.
