The set has developed a short either in the power supply or the horizontal/high voltage circuit. The power supply makes a weird noise when it gets overloaded. This can get complicated so have a repair shop check it out for you. Thanks

Daewoo DSL-17DW3 NO RESONSE at all, remote nor manual

There is a problem with these, common to many other badly designed TVs. They get too hot for the capacitors which dry out and cause all sorts of probs.

Broken Screen on Plasma TV

Broken Screen on Plasma TV A broken TV screen can not be fixed. A replacement sceen can cost as much as a new tv since the new set prices keep falling. You can sell the unit for parts. (ebay?)

You can get a screen protector from;
http://www.tv-armor.com/

or fashion your own.

Problem with my Goodmans 2065TS

Hi.

Sounds like your tv has gone in to service mode.

Try doing this (BUT DO NOT PRESS ANY OTHER BUTTONS)

  • Select pr. number 91
  • Adjust sharpness to minimum and exit all menus.
  • Quickly press the key sequence : RED - GREEN - menu
  • The software version is displayed beside the word Service, e.g. “ SERVICE V1.00A”.
  • To exit SERVICE menu press menu key or Std By key.

    Clock stopped posted at bottom of tv

    In order to remove the Clock display on the TV screen press the DISPLAY button on the remote, it may be labeled OSD on older remotes. As this button may bring up more than one display it may be necessary to press it more than once.
