Try installing the latest audio driver.
You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on thislink to download the drivers: - http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen

How do I stop the sound setting for my keyboard? I must have hit a setting and can't stop the sound on every key touch. PLEASE HELP

This would be found in the accessibility options in the control panel. In Win7, it's in the Ease of Access Center that can be accessed through the control panel.

I cannon print the @ sign from my acer keyboard

If the @ symbol does not show up, but the " shows up instead, then there is a language change on the keyboard. It can be remedied by going to the control panel and changing the location and keyboard settings fromEnglish-United KINGDOM" to English-United States. Also check the procedure below and make sure this is done.

Go to control panel, click on accessibility options..in the keyboard tab, click on the settings buttons for sticky keys, filter keys and toggle keys and deselect the option to use shortcut..hopefully this will help you and other people that have had this problem.

In sticky keys cannot fix by any way

Access the control panel
Start > Control Panel > Accessibility Options
OR
My Computer > Control Panel > Accessibility Options

You will find the sticky keys option their.

If you are referring to physical sticky keys, and not the accessibility software option in windows:
Using a can of compressed air to remove debris from your keyboard should solve this issue.

Keyboard doesn't work properly

Turn on your computer, go to the control panel, if you are using Windows XP, click on switch to classic control panel" and then go to Accessibility Options. There is a keyboard tab that the settings can be changed to help people with disabilities operate their keyboards better but if you hold down certian keys for more than a few seconds, Windows XP will activate these settings. Sounds like your son accidently turned on "FilterKeys" There is a check box on the Keyboard tab of Accessibility Options that turns off FilterKeys. If "Use FilterKeys" is checked, uncheck that box and then click "OK" and see if that helps.

Good Luck!

Keys won't repeat

You may be tripping over an accessibility option. Try this:

1. Click the Start->Control Panel menu item.
2. Click Ease of Access.
3. Under Ease of Access Center, click Change How Your Keyboard Works.
4. If Turn On FilterKeys is checked, UNcheck it.
5. Click Apply or Save.
