Go to this page:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-58931.html
When it loads up click on where it says audio near the top of the page and it will bring you down to the audio driver section.
In that section it shows you that anything more then windows XP and you need to run windows update to get that sound driver installed. Vista drivers will run on Windows 7. Windows 7 was made from the Windows vista source code which is why the drivers will work.
Click on Start and then All Programs, you'll see where it says windows update. Go ahead and click on it and then click on check for updates. It may ask you to enable updates. If it does then click on the button that says Turn on Automatic Updates. Windows will find the driver and it will install it for you.

Hello i re installed my windows 7 on my IBM R52 laptop and the unknown device, and video controller...

I can tell you 7 is def not supported in the R52 as its the Pentium M with 2GB max ram, but generally vista drivers are compatible with 7 (although I had a heck of a time finding compatible drivers for my g/f Dell Inspiron when I ripped Vista off and went back to XP on it). Try Windows Update first, but if its not downloading drivers for those devices your going to have to go through the components and try and find Win7/Vista compatible drivers for your Thinkpad:

This is Lenovo's page on the R52, some of the drivers say Vista:

My IBM Thinkpad R52 PC notebook does not give sound

Try installing the latest audio driver.
The same model ThinkPadcan have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless youknow exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download allthe drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download thedrivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a recordof which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files arelocated on your hard drive. Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEBsite - support/download page and download the latest Windows device drivers foryour model computer, Use this link: - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/product.do?template=%2Fproductselection%2Flandingpages%2FbrowseByProductLandingPage.vm&sitestyle=lenovo&brandind=10&validate=true You can download thevarious drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, theywill then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install the variousdrivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

It has no network driver to connect to the internet how do I do that

Boot up your Toshiba laptop Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer,
Use this link :-
http://www.ibm.com/products/finder/us/finders?pg=ddfinder&cm_re=other-_-suprcn-_-download There may be one or more driver files for each device, depending upon what device is installed on your IBM, download them all because only one will work with your device but you won't know which one until you install it and it works. Then copy the drivers from the Toshiba to a USB memory stick, then remove the memory stick and boot up the IBM R52 and insert the USB memory stick into the R52's USB port. Click on the USB memory device and double click on each of the device drivers. Each driver file will then expand and copy the driver files onto the C drive under a folder called Drivers. Open this folder to view the various drivers and run the Setup file for each driver.

Sound problem

Go to control panel, and check device manager to see if you have any problems. If not, click on Hardware and Sound, then on Sound, and see if somehow your laptop speakers have been turned off. Reconfigure them anyway, and test the sound there. If that doesn't fix it, go to IBM and reinstall Realtec. Sometimes it gets corrupted, and sometimes it takes more than one installation to get it fixed. Let me know if you have any problems.
