Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer message: Wrong print cartridge

I put in a new HP black cartridge, the printer worked fine for a few days, now it says Error Check cartridge, HP director toolbox says that this is the wrong cartridge. It is the correct cartridge. I've tried restarting and snapping the cartridge in again. Thanks for any help.

    Same problem here catridge is in for a while and all of a sudden it gives this error

    error light want go out and it say change ink ,but I did.

Error message saying incorrect print cartridge.


Check the Electrical contacts on the cartridge itself, they all need to be clean and nice and shiny to work properly. Make sure you haven't overfilled the cartridge too, this can sometimes cause problems. To be honest, the HP cartridges do 'wear out' after a few refills. when they go electrically dead, there is nothing you can do about it apart from buy a new one!

Hp officejet 6110 not printing. Can't get out of "align cartridge"mode.


printer problem call up hp at 1-800-474-6836 and ask them for an upgraded printer which you will get at 50-60% cheaper than the original and its a factory new printer.But it is definitly not free.
What you have right now is a hardware problem and the printer is dying so change it fast while this offer is available

Won't print gives error message above power and function push button incorrect color cartridge installed---was working fine yesterday no cartridge was done...


uninstall and reinstall printer and make sure u follow the promp and put the right cartridge in the right spot....black and color....2 different chambers

Hi for solution do this
First put out of the printer the Ink Cartriges then
press 4 + # + OK this send you a info menu
with the nav. Keys go to CHECKSUM FOR RELOCK DATA IMPUT press Ok 5 times . Then Go out there by pressing Cancell Button ant there you go if this dosnt work at the 1rs time you need 2 o 3 times more to ensure relock data ok

Wrong cartridge?


Doubled check the cartridge numbers and that they match what is on the printer. If no match get correct ones.

Has your cartridge been sitting a while in the box, maybe in a warm spot? Some times even new cartridges dry out a little. Was your old cartridge low or completely gone? Just as a test, if you put it back in your printer does the old cartridge work? Any printer error messages? Can you print a test page or an alignment page for your black cartridge? These might be too many questions but here are some HP support links with some How To information for getting more answers. Changing cartridges


I just turned on my hp psc 750 and an error message appeared. Incorrect black cartridge installed
I just used it yesterday, what is wrong???

My Hp PSC 1350v


Hi, I really appericate all your efforts to fix the issue the issue usually occures if any one of the cartridge is defective or low in ink or both the cartridge are defective. We can isolate the issue only by removing the both the cartridges out of the printer and check for the expiry dates printed on the cartridges as if the cartridges are expired also leads to this message. If the cartridge are not expired and have minumial ink in it you can try the below procedure to isolate the defective cartridge Once the both the cartridges are out of the printer insert only the black cartridge in the printer and check for the message if the message is install color cartridge the black cartridge and printer is detecting fine. If the message is check right cartridge this shows that the black cartridge is defective. If the message is insert left cartridge or color cartridge remove the black cartridge out and insert only the color cartridge and check with the message if the message is insert the black cartridge the color cartridge is working fine. And when the color cartridge is in the printer and if the message prompts to check left or color cartridge the color cartridge seems to be defective so replace the defective one will fix the issue So in isolation we can find the defective cartridge and fix the issue by replacing the defective one.. Remove and check color cartridge


try this. worked for me. when installing the cartridge, put one finger under the cartridge and hold upward pressure as you closed the green plastic cover. problem is the pins on the cartridge and the pins on the printer are not aligning properly by relying on the spring to do it. this will help to align the pins and should make it work.
