When you say does not match, how close are they? Normally in small office or home network, the address should be almost identical except for the last 3 digits. For example:

Printer 192.168.1.20

Computer 192.168.1.25

If you are connecting both units to a router then if you set both your laptop and the printer in DHCP mode you should get the correct address for both.

Connect fuji xerox printer - mac pro computer as it was

Hi Lindsay. Was the fuji xerox printer plugged into the old modem by a blue ethernet cable ?
When you changed your modem it would have had a device inside it called a dhcp server that allocated the IP addresses to your computers automatically.
Now I suspect that the new modem has a device inside it called a DHCP server that is allocating a different range of IP addresses to your computers from waht it used to be.

Here comes the technical part
On the printer menu screen there should be a network setting option . Take a note of the IP address of the printer it will be 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x x being the unknown number. also take a note of the subnet mask . it will most likely be 255.255.255.0
next but I have no idea how to look that up on a MAC IOS system.
you may see the ip address in the printer settings properties in the MAC
you may be able to get your ISP to remotely set up your DHCP server in your router to work in the appropriate ip range to match your printer IP address and to avoid allocating the printers ip address to your computers. Then restart the computers to get new ip addresses.
If you tell them the printers IP address and Subnet mask they should be able to alter the modem's settings DHCP settings for you.

The other option is to get the DCHP IP address range of the modem and subnet mask and change the printers IP address setting and subnet mask to match the DHCP leases range by giving it a much higher number than the computers are most likely to be running on.
so if the range was 10.0.0.1 to 10.0.0.254 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 then the printer would be set to 10.0.0.254 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 The first three left numbers must match they are known as the network component of the ip address 10.0.0.0 or it may be 192.168.0.0 the zero end number is the network address so you can't allocate it to a device. 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1 is usually the modem address.
ISP may be able to guide you how to change the setting on the printer .

I had a client that had a lot of trouble getting a tech to come out and set up their printer to an APPLE system. I was the final Tech that eventually came out and set up the printer .

I changed the IP address range of my LAN and need to assign the new range of addresses to my HP printer P2015dn

Press the Menu button on the printer to open the printer’s menu and enable the Network Card – these print servers use a static IP address therefore, configure the IP address of the network card so it matches the IP range of your network. Eg. If your IP's are 192.168.0.xxx then set the network card to a high number say 100. (This is to prevent a conflict with the router issuing the same IP address to a computer on your network).
Then set the Subnet Mask IP address to 255.255.255.0

Each of the eleven(!) computers needs:
1. a _unique_ IP-address
2. the IP-address of the "gateway" device
3. the "network-mask" (usually 255.255.255.0)

The IP-address for your server must *NOT* match the IP-address of any of the 10 computers.

The IP-address for your server must *NOT* match the IP-address of the "gateway" computerl.

Cannot connect the 2nd computer to the internet using the ethernet adapter

Most likely, your ISP only allows a single MAC address to connect to them. To make this work with multiple computers you'll need a router that can do MAC address cloning, i.e. it reads the MAC address off of the computer that works and presents this to the ISP in all cases even when the request comes from different MAC address.

The MAC address is unique and set at the factory for each ethernet card so it's not something you can or should attempt to change. If you were able to change the MAC address on the second computer to match the first you would break your network rather than fix the problem.

It is also possible that you are using fixed ip addresses and simply need to configure the NIC on the new computer. If you check the IP v4 settings for the old computer and they have an explicit address for the card then this is is the issue. If so, simply configure the new computer to match the old computer but make sure the last of the four numbers in the ip address is something between 1 and 254 that does not match the first computer or the gateway address.

Dell 5100cn won't recognize mpf tray

Go to the printer web page by entering the IP address of the printer in an Internet Browser.
click Printer Settings menu entry
If the Substitute Tray value is not MPF Feed, click on the Printer Settings tab
Set the Substitute Tray value to MPF Feed
Click the button Apply New Settings, it will request the admin id & password for the printer.

In trying to resolve this issue, initially I set the Tray Settings to Panel Specified from Driver Specified at the printer's panel. Since the issue was resolved with this set, I just left it that way.

After changing LAN IP, can not access setup page

If using DHCP, reboot your machine or release and renew the IP on the network card. If using static IP addresses, change the computer's IP address to match the new segment and remove the old default gateway and replace with the new LAN IP.
