I have the Z313 system. The right speaker works only intermittently. I took it apart (the right speaker only) and it looks okay inside. What else can I do?

Have your tried swapping the cables left-right to see if the problem moves ? If the problem moves you narrow down the problem to bad output to speaker or bad cable.
After that I'm out of ideas.

I am getting no Speaker output on my 2004 Yukon XL. Radio and CD player are working fine. In fact I can plug my head phones in in the rear and hear everything great. I check the fuse for the Radio AMP...

Hi Jay, Check the cables connecting the speakers. The head phones are usually driven by the pre-amp and as such won't be affected by a problem with the main amplifier. If the cable continuity is good you have a problem with the output of the amplifier. This can happen if the amp has been over loaded or with a sudden surge of power. The usual problem is with the output power transistors. Regards John

Hooked up the amp, lights up, fans kick on and run fine, speakers hooked up proper, no sound? hooked up speakers to another amp and they work fine. Fuses are all good too. Thoughts?

could be bad rca cables or no output from the radio rca outputs. the sub control may be turned off on the radio (ive seen that alot at my work). if all that is fine, the amplifier may be bad. the rca cables may be plugged into the "out" section of the amp. gotta look at all the small obvious things first. good luck.

My kac 7202 amp turns on but nothing comes out with everything hooked up

Use process of elimination. Connect the speakers that are hooked up to your amp directly to the radio, if they work check your amp. Make sure the rca jacks are connected properly. Sometimes the radio has rca's that are "inputs", make sure they're connected to the "output" rca's. If those are ok, your amp may be faulty. Try the amp on your friend's car see if it works. If it doues your radio might be at fault...or just bad rca cables. like i said, use process of elimination to narrow down the faulty equipment.

My amp turns on and pumps once then it stops bt the amp is still geting power

First try unhooking the speakers and see if it continues to go into protect mode. If it does'nt then your speakers are running to low of ohms required for that amp causing it to go into protect mode. If it still goes into protect mode check your ground, might have a voltage problem and check voltage going into amp. I have read the manual and this amp has advanced circuit protection. So if all I have asked you to do and it still goes into protect mode then amp is faulty and has some output transistors shorted or power supply mosfets shorted. Let me know what you find. But you need to do what I have explained to narrow the problem down. Good luck, Keep me informed. I will be glad to help you thru this. I also have a business of repairing car amps and you will not find anyone cheeper. So if you want it repaired and you feel you can't do it, just send it to me and I will repair. If you decide this E-mail me at:skinnman33@gmail.com and we can discuss it in more detail. Just a thought to try and help you out. I have many customers that send me there amps and I repair them and ship them back. A few come from this site. Let me know

Right rear speaker not working

Start by connecting it to one of the other outputs off the deck, say the left rear. If it still doesn't work, remove the speaker and connect it directly to the head unit. If it works, then it's the speaker wire, if it doesn't, it's the speaker.
If there are amplifiers installed, switch RCA cables left for right etc. and see if the problem moves with the cable switch, try the same with the speaker connections at the amp. This will narrow down whether it's the amp or the RCA cable etc.
Car audio problems can be handled by a process of elimination! Eliminate what it's not and you're pointed directly to what it is.

Monster MPA 5150SS

Might be a failing semiconductor component (usually an old transistor) in the amplifier's front end. This caused by the oxidation through the component legs or pin. I usually touch and move each transistor's body to exaggerate the noise. You can research also what kind of noise is it producing- intermittent, static, etc.
hope this helps..

Protection light

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

No right output

When you say it didnt switch when changing cables?? Well if you have no output on the right speaker and you put the left speaker on and still had no output then its your speaker as the problem should have switched from right to left if the problem is in the reciver. Now you could check and see if there are any bent control shafts as this is common durring a move and that would account for the problem or there are internal speaker fuse that may have popped out but this ones doubtfull, or the preamp or main amp printed cuircut board has a crack in them?? If you checked all mof these and need assistance with this repair you can go to the manufactures website to see how and where you can send or take the unit for repair. Good Luck technicalsupport@nakusa.com
