You can install an AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) video card. They come with different memory options such as 128 MB or 256 MB. The purpose of installing this type of video card is that it has it's own memory and processor dedicated just for the graphics.

Can I upgrade to windows 7

Download and install the Windows7 Upgrade Advisor software using the following link. It will tell you what upgrades you may need.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/upgrade-advisor

NOTE: [These are my recommendations only] You should have a Video Card with at least 256 MB Ram to take advantage of AeroDesktop. You should have a minimum of 2 GB of System Memory.
I have a laptop with 1 GB System Ram and only 128 MB Video and Win7 works well.

Monitor port will not work. Can you replace?

You can install a PCI-E graphics card in the PCIE-16 slot and use that instead.

To get performance at least as good as the failed video output, you'll want the new card to have at least 256 MB video memory, 333 MHz or faster clock rate, and 16x9 native resolution formats available, including 1920x1080 (HDTV max resolution for DVD playback). The card should also have DirectX 9 support so you don't have any software issues. The cheaper video cards might be a bit short of this mark, but most of those over $100 will have all this and then some.

Video upgrade

it depends upon your mb. some mb can support pci and agp . some of them support pci and pci-ex . so if your mb has agp or pci-ex slot than you have to buy a video card according to that. video cards range from 128mb to 1024 mb. you have to check your motherboard specification which card it can support. also it depends upon the power supply unit. need at least 300 watts for 128 mb - 256 mb card.

Which graphics card should I get to run a panasonic 50' plasma?

A better video card will allow more dimensions like 1440x900 or something bigger, which will make it look better, but it wont make the size of the screen any smaller.

Hi I loaded a game on my laptop and it says that the video card isnt big enough. Is there a way I can upgrade it?

hi my name is Ztek.

yes there is a way of upgrading your video card.
you can purchase a better or bigger video card for your dektop as long as it fits in your case.
you can purchase a better video card at your local computer hardware store or the bigger hardware corporations in your area.

depending on wich game there is usually a list of requirements for the specific game on the back of the case.

hope it helped and good luck gaming my friend =)

I assume you have switched the monitor cable in the back to your video card before booting up. Also you must disable the onboard video and driver too by Start----->Control Panel----->System----->Hardware----->Device Manager and make sure the driver for the onboard video is disabled. You have to also change the BIOS settings by rebooting and pressing F4, F1, F2 or F6 (varies on computers) Once in BIOS, you have to use the arrow keys, Esc and Enter to navigate. Goto the Video Display options and change the onboard video to your new card 256 MB. Collow on screen promts to save it and reboot again. Should work now.
