Hi there gmlysyshin

if you measure the distance between 3 chain rivets ______ then divide that by 2 to give ______

if this figure is 0.250" your chain is a 1/4 pitch chain in which case you will use a 5/32 file
to sharpen this chain this file is also used on a 0.375 ( 3/8 lo pro chain )

cheers hope this helps

Hi Beth,

Here is the web address for the pdf owner's manual. The maintenance section starts on page 25. You'll find illustrations and instructions there starting on the page 25 or 26.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

CHAIN SAW QUITS CUTTING AS IT HITS WOOD.

The make, model, and occationally the serial number help us solve your problem.

Does the engine quit running? (Carburator needs adjustment)
Or does it continue running and chain stops? (need clutch refaced or replaced.) (to aggressive a chain for the size of the engine)

I think you replaced parts unnecessarily. Maybe quicker and cheaper to visit your friendly neighborhood chainsaw shop. A good one can repair it even if they do not sell your brand.
