Samsung Dryer dv203aes/xac will not heat. Drum is rotating and lint was cleared from exhaust.

Check the following:
1. Does it have 220 volts (yes it runs, but dryers run on 110 volts)?
2. Check the heating element and the safety thermostats located on the heat element canister. Low air flow from any restriction like lint build up or mashed ducting or blocked air exhaust vent cap can either trip the safety stats or burn out the element. Clean dryer and exhaust ducting thoroughly and replace bad parts before placing back in service. Poor air flow is the number one problem with "No Heat" dryer issues.

3b524099-f5e5-4a68-9cbb-7c75f853808e.pngAir Flow issue sounds like. Is there go air flow at the rear of unit? Maytags of this style usually wear out blower wheels which moves the air through the unit, check the blower wheel see if you can move it without turning the drum, This is of course with the front panel off, The blower wheel is item #4 in the diagram and it's locate just behind the front panel.

The drum will turn, but no heat

Hi there,

Well if it's a gas dryer and if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following -
1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place.
2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes. Post comments for further help or information.....

Good Luck!!
Thanks for using FixYa!!

Kenmore 80 Series gas dryer starts with heat but very short time

Hello Friend, Your problem is very simple to fix. You're dryer needs a gas valve coil kit. To replace coils just remove front of dryer body and look below drum you will see the gas valve. The valve coils are located on top of valve (two little round black cylinders). It's simple, just remove the two screws from the little metal bracket that holds them down, unplug the wires from them and just lift them straight up off of the valve. Take notice that one has 3 wires and one has 2 wires. Just replace with new coils and plug wires back in and re-fasten metal bracket. Your dryer will run like new. Happy to help, Tim.

Kenmore gas dryer heats some of time MD

Is the drum turning and are you getting a flow of air out of the exhaust pipe? These two items may assist you in finding the problem. Look next at the thermostat if these items are working right. Have you checked the area below the lint filter for buildup of lint?

Dryer stopped drying.

IS IT HEATING? IF YES, IS THE DRUM TURNING? IF YES,
THERE IS A RESTRICTION IN THE AIR FLOW SOMEWHERE.
CHECK THE OPERATION WITHOUT THE VENT ATTACHED TO THE DRYER FOR ONE LOAD.DOES IT DRY O.K?
THERE IS A RESTRICTION IN YOUR EXHAUST.MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUSH THE DRYER TIGHT AGAINST THE WALL. YOU MIGHT PINCH OFF THE FLEX VENT MATERIAL. YOU CAN'T JUDGE THE AIR FLOW BY VIEWING WHERE THE VENTING GOES OUTSIDE. IT MIGHT HAVE AIR FLOWING OUT IT, BUT CAN STILL BE RESTRICTED. REMOVE THE SECTIONS OF DUCT AND CLEAN OUT THE LINT FROM THEM. IF YOU HAVE FLEXIBLE MATERIAL RUNNING A LONG DISTANCE, GET RID OF IT. USE ONLY 4INCH RIGID METAL PIPE FOR LONG DISTANCES. THEN CONNECT TO IT WITH A SHORT PIECE OF METAL FLEXIBLE MATERIAL.
