Question about Hampton Bay 52 In. White Redington III¿ Ceiling Fan w/ Remote Control & Light Kit

1 Answer

My Redington IV ceiling fan with remote controller is stuck at low speed. I can turn on/off light and on/off the fan but can't change speed. It just happened recently after about three years of working perfectly. I appreciate your prompt help. Thanks, Harry

It's possible the fan is in reverse and some fans will not on function faster or lower speeds, check for a switch on the side of the fan just above the blades.

When you had the batteries out of the remote, did you press all the buttons to be sure one is not stuck? Also, this could be a button failure.

Ceiling fan with light and remote stopped working

It's most likely the receiver for the remote (transmitter) -- it's located under the cover at the top of the fan -- will need replacing.
