Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
No light no noise no power! was working fine I check for 220 to unit ok ..
and there is no lint build up? is it time to get a new machine this one was fine last night and still looks new.. i see somthing about thermostat switch
where do i find it? i called someone and they said i need a motor.
Check for burnt or loose wires at the junction where the power cord attaches to the dryer. Also check the door switch. When you open or close the door you should hear a click, that usually means the switch is ok. Then open the cabinet top and check for broken wires.Check unit with power off / cord unplugged!!! Safety First. Good luck. BpB

Tips for a great answer:
If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.
