Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I want to remove the front grille to clean it. The owner's manual that came with this unit is for a different unit. Either LWHD1006R or LWHD1209R. It shows louvers at the top, which are not on my Unit, and says take one screw out, and it will lift out. Why did I get the wrong owner's manual with this unit?

Just want to remove front panel to clean

Anna, Normally front is not fastened with screws. In case, first check for any screws that could be holding cover in place and remove them. To remove front cover normally you push down on the top plastic frame which helps release clips, while pulling or pry cover off towards you, in the same area.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I just had an e660i grill installed. The manual was not in the box. So: how do I get one? How do I adjust the heat? How do I calibrate the sensor?

The dealer you purchased the grill from, should have the Owner's Manual, since he forgot to leave it with you. or you can contact the the manufacturer, the Robert H Peterson Company (800) 332-3973 and they can email you one as an attachment. The heat is adjusted by the burner knob(s) on the front of the grill, once the burner(s) is lighted. It operates very much like a gas range. You'll need the Owner's Manual to calibrate the sensor.

Hope this helped you & Happy Grilling!!

Need to know the process (steps) in replacing the burners on a 51" natural gas grill. The are two buners, one that is a 3 burner and one that is a 2 burner. Is there a manual that can be...

For what it's worth, here is a link to the Owner's Manual for your grill. It makes no reference to routine maintenance, as far as burner removal for cleaning or replacement is concerned. Which, I must say is a first for me. Even the cheapest grill on the market includes instructions for how to remove the burners for cleaning.

I have a one burner that doesn't ignite - what do I do?

Assuming the igniter to that burner is working properly, the best bet is that the burner is clogged an not getting gas. This will require removing the burner to clean it and the venturi valve (which is part of the burner), as it can become a haven for spiders.

Since removing the burners on a Ducane grill can be a bear to do. I have included a link to your Owner's Manual, in case you have misplaced yours, that you can download and print for future reference. Pay particular attention to the Annual Maintenance section. As it will walk you thru how to remove and clean the burners.

I want to clean the grill but cannot find the owner's manual to determine how to take it apart and clean it properly. How can I get a manual?

Here's a link to the Owners Manual for a Ducane Stainless Steel Grill, that may be a little newer than yours. Never the less, the maintenance and cleaning are the same.

I have 3 burners...two will light and one won't light anymore.....??? Bill

Bill, I suspect that the third burner needs to be removed and thoroughly cleaned. As does the venturi valve on the open end of the burner. If however, the 3rd burner is the one that ignites from the cross over tube burner, you will have to clean and/or replace the cross over tube burner.

To assist you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your model grill, Just in case you have misplaced yours. You can download and print it for future reference.

Grill is 6 yrs old, natural gas hard line to house burners have only very low flame (really low) do I need to replace burners or valves? if so what does it take?

Before you start replacing parts, let's try trouble shooting the problem, by asking a couple of questions.

Have you checked the gas line shutoff valve, on the gas line from the house to the grill, to make sure it's fully open?

When was the last time you thoroughly cleaned the grill (i.e. Removed and cleaned the burners, the venturi valves & the burner orifices) ?

If you answered NO, to both or either one of the above questions, that's where you need to start.
If you no longer have the Owners Manual for your grill, please advise me, who the manufacturer is and the correct model number . I may be able to provide you with one. Even if you end up needing parts, you will need the Owners Manual to get the correct part numbers.

Hope this helped in solving your grill problem. Please let me know.

How do I take apart the air purifier to clean it? I have a honeywell HTT-022 unit and it needs cleaning

Here is the owner's manual:

http://www.kaz-canada.com/kaz/support/manual/?ProductManualAction=renderProductManualById&ProductManualId=ee97a4e6784448b6f57acddb2f29a817

It says first to unplug the unit.

While pressing on the two notches along the front of the grille, pull the grille toward you and remove it.

Gently pull down on the top filter frame and pull forward.

Remove the protective wrap from the filter.

Place back into the air purifier housing and snap filter grille into place.

(This is verbatim from the instructions)
