Question about Dishwashers
The pump is humming because its still trying to get all the water out of the unit. Deinstall the dishwasher and pull the entire dishwasher out from under your cabinet. Next step would be to disconnect the drain line from the drain pump and check to assure that there are no obstructions in the line itself to where it connects to the pump if the entire line is free from all obstructions you next step would be to remove the drain pump itself from the unit and assure that not only the impellar is spining inside the drain pump but also that there is no foreign debris stuck inside the pump as well. also before pulling the dishwasher out reassure that there is nothing blocking the drain line to where it goes into the disposal if the drain line is cleared and the pump is cleared you can also bench test the drain pump by taking a extension cord and cutting off the female end of the cord and adding two electrical c-clip connectors to the cord this some call a powered jumper or a suicide wire it allows you to test the drain pump outside of the machine in order for you to see if the impellar is actually moving if you have any further questions message me back I await your reply Thanks Rick

Your dishwasher drains into the garbage disposal. It you tried to use a plunger to clear your clogged sink or run the disposal with to much junk in it you may have force debris into the dishwasher drain hose. With both the dishwasher and garbage disposal disconnect from power disconnect the dishwasher drain hose from the garbage disposal. This is usually about a one inch black hose. Clear out any debris in the hose and inlet nipple on the garbage disposal. If debris is compacted far down the hose it will need to be disconnected from the dishwasher end and remove to clear the blockage.
