Hi there jrcampbell93

here is website for parts breakdown

your problem sounds like a ignition armature going o/c when hot or a tank breather is not venting causing a vacuum loc in tank - check this 1st , then check out ignition armatures 2 nd

may need to place a ignition spark tester in line with each ht lead and plug, re-run machine and see which coil is going o/c get unit hot as before you will soon see which coil is doing it

once you know which one it is , replace it and reset air gap and you should be good to

cheers pauly46

I had a 2130 cubcadet that did the same thing and I tried all the solutions but none of them worked. I came out one morning and the tracktor would not work at all. I took to a dealer and they replace the fuel pump and never had that problem again. I would say that your fuel pump is going bad.

My 1999 Buick LaSabre dies after 15 minutes and will not restart til it cools down for 1 or 2 hours?

Have you done any testing? Any applicable trouble codes? How long since a tune-up?
When the vehicle stalls do some testing, if the engine is hot, wear gloves. Use a spark tester, check for spark with engine cranking. If spark everywhere, at least you know that system is ok.
If you lose rpm signal, during cranking, no spark, no fuel injector pulse. I have seen crank sensors that would do that, the rpm signal comes from crank sensor. Your not giving us enough info to determine if it is the crank sensor?

My 2000 sunfire has shut off on me while driving it 3 times now... but everytime i let it set for an hour or so it will run fine ...

You mean it has to sit that long before it restarts? It won't start right away after it stalls? To find this kind of problem, one needs to run some basic tests for gas and spark when it is acting up. If you have tried cranking it for a long time after it stalls, and it won't start until it has cooled down-that is the right time to check for spark at one of the spark plug wires. If you buy a cheap spark tester at a parts store, you can check for spark without chance of getting shocked. You will need a helper to crank the engine over while you watch for a consistent, strong blue spark.

Why does tractor runs fine til it warms up then stalls and wont restart til cools down

Check to see if you still get spark at the spark plug wire when this happens, common problem is a "Hot Coil" the coil windings breakdown under high heat and causes a stall until it cools down, just pull a plug wire place it near engine ground with a small gap see if there is a bright blue spark when you crank the engine over. If no spark, or it is weak orange spark..let it cool down then try it again if it then sparks bright blue you have a coil issue and it needs replaced. I have also had key switches over heat and stall the engine as well check your wiring connections on the key switch if its burnt looking there is also a problem.

Car stalls and will not restart while hot

Try a used computer from a salvage yard. They are cheap. Crank sensor or cam sensor may also be bad. Not sure which one that model has.

Car stalls, will usually restart after sitting a while

Seeing as how you had a check light on,
what codes were present & did you diagnose
& repair them ?

Sounds like a bad fuel pump on the stalling or
no start

Car starts fine, run about 20-30 miles and it stalls no warning wont crank back up until maybe an hour or more sitting to cool NOT overheating in coolant department

the components in the wiring are heating up from old age--modules-switches etc-------isolating them to the starting and ignition 1st---------get a haynes repair book

Runs fine for approx 15 mins, then stalls out and wont start again

sounds like coil problem, coils will start cold then get hot and stop. when coil cools will crank up and run till it gets hot, try to replace the ignition coil, dont think it would be a crank sensor, try a coil, thanks robert b.

2000 caravan 3.0 stall after 20 min no spark restarts few hours later

This sounds like a bad (probably cracked) ignition coil.

First, the coil gets hot when operating, and this is normal.

If it is cracked, it gets hot to the point where its resistance gets so much higher that it cannot provide enough voltage for spark.

When it cools back down it starts working fine again.
