Could be your PC hanging that's why your music has delays and when that happends unusual sounds sometimes occurs like screeching. Have you tried cleaning your unit with CCleaner, google for it its useful on tuning up your unit. That program also has an option to see what programs are starting up during boot. There maybe programs that you don't need to start but starts anyway and that causes lags also.

You need to connect the speakers to the green jack in your PC.

Check your system sound volume setting to make sure it's not set to MUTE or the volume slider is on or near the lowest position - you don't specify what system you have on the PC so I can't give you an exact pointer but Volume Control generally is found under Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment.

You need to get a really good virus program which will detect the virus on your computer. You also get an malware program too for spyware. Viruses will effect everthying on your computer but before you get your computer fixed try this first.. I used Panda Cloud which is free and it is a really good program! Another good program for malware is IO Security 360. Do a deep scan after you install the virus program and malware program. Another good program for your computer is Advanced System Care 4 with is also free and it keeps your computer working really well and it cleans your computer of files you don't need. It also has tools that lets you know that you have founds and it fixes it.

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they are probably faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check

Acer Computer... extremely slow response time.

try installing ccleaner. It is free software from download.com
once installed go to the tools then to startup and disable anything running in the startup. then run cleaner. If it is still running slow change the ram. There may be some kind of driver issue with your speakers. They may also be bad speakers. Who knows' but the netbooks are not going to have the best quality of sound anyways. worst case buy headphones or external speakers

Tried to remove PC Mighty Max and cannot!

Is it now missing from add/remove programs.Windows add/remove
is a useless program anyway, you can go into safe mode(reboot your pc tap f8) and delete the folder that is in your program files. Return to normal operation. There are two ways to remove the registry keys
for this program, manual and a free cleaner, called Ccleaner, you should get this and clean your registry, besides it is good to clean
it when you install and uninstall programs. Below is the link to the free cleaner, its not bad for free.
