I have a "Hitachi split type air conditioner model RAS- 3098U", and its started leaking today from the right side. I didn't install it and I can't figure out how to remove the front cover to l

water is coming from evaporator drain pan most likely. lots of humidity right now and 1st thing your ac is going to do is remove this from air. most likely cause would be condensation line clogged or if you have condensate pump, then it also could be cause. to remove cover usually you have to remove air filters look for any screws and possibly front louvers pull down. this usually does not give you access to drain pan. unit usually needs to be removed from wall plate and this might involve refrigerant lines being removed, and for that my friend you defiantly want a qualified professional.

Air conditioner leaked a lot of fluid that looked like water after being on all night. Do you think this is an easy fix, or what do you think is wrong with it? Thanks

All air conditioning units have built in drains. When the drain is clogged the water fills the drip pain and spills out. An easy fix is to open you unit and just wipe the drains. If you cannot find the drain find where the water is coming from and trace the water to the source. The other possibility is that the unit has a dehumidifier that is not properly sealed and it is leaking the water it collects if so find the dehumidifier (usually labeled) and pull the cover off clean the seal and put cover back on (may snap into place) and see what happens the next day.

There is water in the pan in the attic of the York 80 unit. The drain line that goes out from the unit, outside appears to be clear. What next?

The condesate drain is clogged, most of the time they clog at the trap close to the furnace. You need to clear the clog and clean the drain line and drip pan if you can get to it.

BTU is leaking water from the inside.

Take the cover off the inside unit and look for the drip pan under the evaporator coil. It should have either one drain in the middle of the pan or a series of smaller drains along the back of the pan. The drain(s) is probably clogged up and causing the pan to overflow into your home. Also check the drain line on the outside wall where the refrigerant lines come through the wall for a blockage.

My HSU12Xca Haier Ac shouting some ice inside my house ?? What it could be thanks

It is the drain tube clogged or the unit is not leveled.

The drain tube is on the right side of the air handler, if the unit is leveled, lift front grill and remove the screw fastening the small cover on the bottom right corner, remove cover, you should be able to see the drain hole, use a piece of wire to unplugged, if that does not work, go outside and blow on the drain hose to clear the obstruccion.

Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

We have a leakage of water when the unit is run.

remove the cover and in the right hand corner is where the drain trap is usually located the can become plugged with a scummy like substance from the condensation or if you go to wherever the end of the drain from the unit is located you can actually blow through the drain an d remove most plugs

How to dismantle the indoor unit of panasonic air conditioner in order to purge clogged drainage pipe

I'm guessing its a window type A/C. First Remove the fron cover of the A/C, its a snap on so you just need to gently. Next is pull out the inner assmbly, the drain pan usually has a handle curve you can pull, be careful not to drop the AC. from there you can clean the unit and declogg the drain by hosing it down.

I hope this helps
