My washer is flashing f1 - Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer

F1 (F60-68)
Primary Control Failure F then 1 flashes when there is a primary control failure. Replace the machine control assembly.

The "F1" error code on the Whirlpool cabrio is quite common, and generally has to do with the control board. Replacing the control panel may resolve this issue. However, I believe Whirlpool is aware of the F1 issue with the Cabrio, and is fixing some machines for free. You have a potential short circuit. Please ensure that you have unplugged at mains before attempting these checks!! Then you should make sure the wiring loom is secured properly to the motor. Check the wires around the motor to see if any have bared or are splayed revealing bare wires. otherwise the motor may be faulty.

I think there might be a recall on your washer call to see. I am not for sure that there is a recall but I a m pretty sure there is. So don't quote me on that. the f1 error code usually means that you have a bad board. f1 means that your pressure switch line is failing and this is all in your board. check your owners manual if whirlpool is not going to pay for this repair sometimes there are extended warranties in your manual

Moister can get in between the contacts,is it in a high moister environment? Try using a hair dryer on the panel to dry it out.Also unplug it to reset.
