Sounds like it could be:

1) Power supply - still sending some power but wrong - hence the light on the front
2) Motherboard
3) RAM - take the RAM out and try again - see if it acts differently
4) Hard Drive - sometimes a faulty HD will keep it from booting - as before, unplug and try again.

Hope that helps.
Good Luck

Hello! I'll need the trouble code to fix your vehicle...Below is procedure with a code list...Guru...saailer

Remove the trim panels in front of the center console. Locate the engine computer attached to a floor-mounted bracket on the transmission tunnel between the console and the firewall.

  • Turn the diagnostic mode selector, located in a round opening on the side of the engine computer, until it stops. Observe the small red and green LED lights on the side of the computer next to the mode selector. They will flash to indicate the modes, with a pause between each mode. One quick flash is mode one, two quick flashes is mode two and so on. When the light flashes indicate mode three, quickly turn the mode selector counterclockwise until it stops. You have entered mode three diagnostics.

Hi there, pls help I have problem with this. Power not come at all..it was working fine till the we had a power outage then while the computer was on then the outage went back on my monitor just didnt work...

Hello derick, Unfortunately power surges have been known to have some pretty nasty effects on your computer hardware. If you turn on your power (may have to toggle the power button behind your computer before pressing the button, worth trying in each position just in case) and your computer doesn't come on at all. This means that if none of your lights come on AND none of your fans come on, then your power supply may have blown out in the surge. If this is the case then you can't even begin to try and diagnose the rest of your PC to see if it's working. You need power to attempt diagnostics on your other components. Even if you replace the power supply, there is no guarantee that it was the only thing that was ruined by the surge. I hope this helps you out derick, and wish you better luck in the future :(

HP Pavilion a767c Desktop blue power light want come on. Have unpluged the power cable and held the power button in for a short peroid of time with not results. Can you help?

Hello Chris, If you turn on your power (may have to toggle the power button behind your computer before pressing the button, worth trying in each position just in case and make sure the power cable has been plugged back in) and your computer doesn't come on at all. If none of your lights come on AND none of your fans come on, then your power supply may have gone bad. If this is the case then you can't even begin to try and diagnose the rest of your PC to see if it's working. You need power to attempt diagnostics on your other components. Another thing to check is to make sure the fuse on that outlet has not blown, if other things are plugged into that exact same outlet, are they receiving power? Also if you have the same standard power cable that you use from your monitor to the power source, maybe try switching it out and using it on your PC to see if it makes a difference. Hopefully this helps you with your problem Chris, have a great day!

IBM xseries eserver x236 Bios problem: a yellow light( !) like this is on and IBM server can not start

    Hello,

    Try this:

    Light path diagnostics

Many errors are first indicated by the illumination of the system-error light in the operator information panel on the front of the server. One or more lights inside the server might also be lit that can direct you to the source of the error. The system information LED lights to alert you that there might be important information recorded in the system-error log. 2. Removing the left-side cover and look at the light panel. These LEDs indicate the type of error that has occurred.3. Once you know the general type of error and the general location of the component involved, the next step is to check the system service label on the outside of the server. This label gives an overview of internal components that correspond to many of the LEDs on the light path diagnostics panel and can help to view lit LEDs inside the server. Note: Some of the LEDs on the light path diagnostics panel will not have a corresponding LED lit on the system board.

    5100 problem

    Hi

To help you troubleshoot a problem, your computer has four diagnostic lights labeled "1," "2," "3," and "4" on the front panel. When the computer starts normally, the lights flash. After the computer starts, all four lights display solid green. If the computer malfunctions, the color and sequence of the lights identify the problem.

Reply with the Power Button light and the Diagnostic lights color and sequence for further assistance.
