Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
Since you did not include your model number this is my bease guess at the manual: See pages 61 and 64. Page 64 Figure 8-7 has the wire colors. Also see figure 8-13 on page 72. (Best)

Your parts can be found here if I guessed the model number correctly: (Able to Enlarge)

Hopefully this is all the information you should need to get your engine up and running again. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I have a 214 kohler engine john deere lawn tractor, what point wires go to hot and the ground

if that is the Kohler 14 hp motor it may have the spark control untit on the motor cover. I recently ran into one like that and switched the coil out from a blown 20 hp kohler engine. I just taped up the excess wires and made sure they were not near any moving parts. The mower ran fine after that. Kohler wants about $160.00 for a spark control unit. There have been no repercussions since making the switch.

No spark on kohler generator 4ckm21

I don't have any idea what Carl just said, but remove the little ground wire from the coil and try to start the engine. If it fires and runs ok, you have a grounding issue somewhere and need to follow the wires around to see if anything that shouldn't be touching metal, is.

When i got the bike it wasnt running .it had no coils ,no plugs .iv bought new ones and need to know what lead goes were from waht coil .

The coil for the #1/4 spark plugs is mounted on the left side of the bike, and has the solid orange (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

The coil for the #2/3 spark plugs is mounted on the right side of the bike, and has the solid grey (ground) wire and the red-with-white-tracer-stripe (hot) wire input leading to it.

Mouse chewed on right side center coil replaced coil and connector, but still wontfire on right bank

Sounds like the trigger to activate the on/off function of the coil is missing.Having power at the coil is good but to activate the coils build up/collapse you have to have a signal to tell it when to.You will have to back probe the trigger wire to find out where its been chewed with a continuity tester with noise. The noise option, multi meters,is very good if your doing a bit of testing on your own and tells you that cicuit is intact with out having to read multi meter screen.Good luck with it
