Hi,
In the digital camera itself there are options but its little like darkening the image etc etc but various other options are there.

From these below link you will come to know how to make the pics size smaller. http://www.digitalphotofix.com/make-digital-photos-smaller.html (If you want to sent these edited [size] pics back to the Digital camera then you can connect to Lap and through that you can get the edited pics back to the digital camera.)

i hope it helps. Thanks

All my emails with attachments don't send stays in the outbox please help very frustrated. Thanks in our company

Not sure what email program or service you are using it could be the size of your files are too large. If they are pictures you can resize them smaller in pc paint and then save the smaller size and try sending the smaller file. If it is a document with inserted pictures you may need to resize the inserted pictures and try sending the downsized document file. If you are trying to send a large file like a video file you could use a drop box service but remember files should not be used if confidential or intellectual property sensitive to you.

I want to short my picture size, example: from 202KB to less that 50KB. please help me out.

The easiest way is to reduce it's size by using Paint. Here is what to do:

- Open the picture you want to be in smaller size on Paint
- Look for the Image tab on paint and choose Resize and Skew. If you can't find it just press Ctrl+W.
- Be sure the box "Maintain aspect ratio" is checked. Then adjust the size you want for your picture and then click "save as" and choose a different name, so if you think it is too small or if ever you need your original file, it will still be there.

Hope this helped you! =)

I have my S610 set to take photos @ 5MB. But when I download them to Picassa, they are ~1.2 MB. Is this a camera setting or Picassa?

Neither. The camera is taking pictures at 5 megapixels resolution. The file size of the image is only loosely related to the resolution. You'll note that your pictures are all different sizes. The size is dependent on the content of the picture. If you take a picture of a blank wall or a plain blue sky, the file size will be smaller than the file size of a picture of a cluttered scene, because it takes more bytes to record detail.

If you look at your pictures in your image viewer, you'll see that the pictures are all the same dimension (width and height), regardless of the file size.

Slow down your shooting. The "R11" indicates that you can take 11 more images before the buffer is full and the camera will stop functioning until the images are moved to the memory card.
Select a smaller file size. Nikon cameras allow you to select from several sizes of JPEG as well as a RAW and a RAW + JPEG file. These files vary in size. If you select a smaller file size, the buffer will take longer to fill, allowing you to shoot longerTurn off long exposure noise reduction. This function causes the camera to expose twice for every image, and this can fill up the buffer quickly as those images are processed and written to the card.

Converting large pictures files to smaller files

There are at least three alternatives.

    1. Take smaller pictures. Your camera should have mulitple resolutions available, possibly including one as small as 640x480. Since you didn't specify the model of your camera, I can neither tell you the smallest available on your camera, nor how to set it.

    2. Reduce the size on the camera. Again, I can't be too specific, but there probably is an item in the Playback menu to resize pictures.

    3. Reduce the size on the computer. Just about any photo manipulation software (free or otherwise) on Windows or Mac will have the ability to reduce the size of a photo.

My preference is to do it on the computer, preferring to take my pics at the camera's best resolution. That way, if Bigfoot wanders by or a UFO lands outside, I'll have the best pics I can get.

    Size of pictures

You cannot make it better, even if you make it larger. If your goal is to make it smaller, Kodak's EasySHare software will allow you to edit and resave as a smaller file for things like web pages or attachments, for example. Just please understand that less data and smaller file size will also limit the print quality to smaller good quality images.

Storage/memory used SD or usb flash disk

Try setting your picture size to a smaller size. If your pictures are used mostly for being viewed on a computer, or for smaller print sizes like 3x5 or 4x6, you should not lose any quality. The smaller file size does not take as long to write to the disk.
