Question about Westinghouse Refrigerators
Remove any dust and cobwebs from the lower section. Feel the compressor. If it is hot to the touch or cold then something is going on with the relay on it. The fact the compressor is coming on as far as you know means the cold control is working and the unit is not in defrost mode. Their should be a fan going inside the ice box to circulate the cold air and if it is not going then ice will build on the coils and you won't have cooling or very little if at all. It might be out of gas but if it was it would have been going out slowly and not all at once. I say you need to take a look at that compressor relay:
