You're saying that there's no sound coming on your computer or you lost the songs save on your computer?? If the problem is there's no sound coming from your computer make sure the sound device is working properly check it under device manager..
You need to download the drivers after the re-installation process. You need to insert the drivers and utilities disc that came with your computer when you bought it.
Just insert the disc and follow the onscreen instructions.
If you lost your disc, just click in the link below and you will be directed to a website of hp where you can download the drivers for your computer.
What did you do to your computer? If you unplug the main course that runs to the pc for 5 minutes, you've lost everything. I do not know any way to get it back unless that cd starts working. I would look through the system files first.

Sounds like your norstar system needs to be reprogrammed because norstar defaults back to only 2 lines when the inturnal battery fails.If the inturnal battery has failed and you reprogram this phone system and you have another power fail you will have to have you system reprogrammed again.Time for new system.
For this you need to contact Microsoft. Explain what happened, and they will possibly assist you in getting it installed again. But if you have lost your install CDs, then you will have an uphill battle. Microsoft is very sensitive to software pirating, and this can sound like that. Be careful.
