Looking over your question I've noticed you put it as a sunglasses problem. If you change it to a more suitable category then it can be answered by an expert of the certain category. Have a nice day.

Mother maiden name

In the United States culture, women have had usually 3 names for the last about 100 years or so.
Occasionally a middle name was left out.
The name on their birth certificate was their first name, their middle name, and their family name.
For example, Mary Elizabeth LaTruce.
This would have been her name until she married, at which time she would have changed the last, or family name, to that of her husband. Mary Elizabeth LaTruce would have become Mary Elizabeth Diverse. The name she received as a child on her birth certificate was her "maiden name".

Who was first wife of Joseph Walter Caswell born UK 1850

I'm not sure if this is the same Joseph Walter CASWELL - but I have a relative of the same name who was born in the UK in 1851. His first marriage was to a lady by the name of Amelia Elizabeth Forsdike in 1879. Amelia was born in 1861 & she & Joseph had 4 sons - Sydney, Christopher, Bruce, & Albert (born 1886). Amelia died in 1887 & shortly thereafter, Joseph & his 4 sons emigrated to Australia. In 1892 Joseph re-married in Australia. His 2nd wife's name was Annie Mann & Joseph & Annie had a further 9 children in Australia.
